Trident Hotel Kinsale

Loved the food, view, location & laundry service! In walking distance to restaurants, water activities, hiking, golf & shopping.

Very good hotel in a great location Rooms are a good size with comfortable beds and a good pressure shower. Excellent breakfast with great service. House keeping friendly and efficient. ( the key card invariably fail to let you into your room)

I stayed in the Trident Hotel in May 2025 with family and friends. Everything was absolutely stunning, the staff were lovely and so accommodating, our room was clean and very spacious and the food on the restaurant was so nice! I can’t wait to come back again.

We stayed here for two nights in a room with a partial view. We couldn't get a room with full view but the view was still great. The staff were so nice and friendly. I enjoyed going to breakfast every morning to enjoy the lovely view from the dining room. Rooms were nice and bright with adequate space. My only criticism would be that there was no fridge in the room. The position of the Trident is great, with easy car parking. Loved our stay here and would definitely come back.

We spent three nights at the hotel with a harbour view room. The room had a great view (beyond the car park), was clean spacious and well appointed. The breakfast offers a cold buffet and cooked to order hot food. The buffet offered a good choice. I tried the full Irish and was disappointed with it. The fried egg was hard and the bacon was, in my view, undercooked. There also didn’t seem to be much on the plate. On the other days I went for the eggs Benedict with bacon and that was very good. They provide decent coffee. Service was very good. We tried one evening meal there. It is pub food, not fine dining. We enjoyed what we had and the prices were reasonable. We were there on a Sunday and the bar was busy all day with people eating. This had a knock on effect that the car park was rammed, so when we, as residents, returned we struggled the park. The car park is meant to be for guests and customers of the hotel. While we were there we noticed people using it who were quite clearly using it as a public car park. There is also a problem with coaches parking. Coach drivers seemed to make sure that they hogged as much space as possible by use of chain of cones. On one occasion a Cronins coached driver moved his bus from a place where it wasn’t causing a problem to where it took up four car parking spaces. The car park is not big and it is tight. The hotel does not seem to monitor or manage it at all.
