I expected a clean , no frills room but that seemingly was too much to hope for .very small, basic (not even a rubbish bin) & not got the amenities that it advertised . The shower must have had prostate issues as it had no water pressure at all it advertised a power shower but it wasn’t. I had to rinse the shampoo from my hair in the wash basin. The toilet was blocked & the only place for our two small pieces of luggage was on the bed or in the bathroom. The curtains were so thin that the room was lit up all night & the room that we were allocated was nothing like the room show in the listing The car park was so small that my small two seater car had to be parked on the road. The lady who owns the place has all of the hosting skills of Basil Fawlty with the comedic charm. She was rude, condescending & dismissive from the outset Having stayed in lots of other places on out trip around Cork this host is by far the worst one ever. There are hostels that are better than this & I pity any future guests I would rather sleep in my car than have to ever stay here again . I would not recommend it to anyone

Danabel is an excel location close to town. The room was small but comfortable. Phil served a delicious breakfast. My only complaint would be the parking. There’s barely room for 2 small vehicles and the street is quite narrow for parking. As mentioned it was cash only.

A lovely b&B that we stayed in whilst completing the WAW on motorbike. Was made very welcome, with excellent customer service. Breakfast was with a personal touch by the owners couldn't do enough for you. Would highly recommend to any travellers in Ireland.

We spent one night at Danabel B&B in April, while touring in ireland. Our host took the time to share some recommendations to enjoy our stay in Kinsale, she gave us restaurants and bars as to enjoy traditional Irish music. The room was comfortable, clean and calm. Cash only payment, rather contact the host directly.

Positives - room was clean, good location for town centre and breakfast was nice. Negatives - very dated small rooms, over priced for the quality (cash only payments) and found the owner Phil unwelcoming and sometimes abrupt. Always had extremely welcoming owners at other Irish B&Bs so was disappointing. Would we stay again or recommend.. No.

Good - Comfortable bed Wifi Bad - No bin in room to dispose of rubbish Small room parking for one car, or 2 very small cars, had to park on the road. no 'power shower' as advertised no 'gardens' for guests to use' as advertised - small slabbed area with a table and chairs. breakfast not available until 8:30. TV didn't work no toiletries. thin walls, can hear guests going to the toilet next door, walking up and down stairs and generally moving around. room does not get dark at night due to curtains and glass panel above door which shines the light through from landing.
