Courtyard Houston Kingwood

We are very discerning hotel guest and usually stay at 4 or 5 star hotels but had to be close to Family so booked this hotel on a recommendation. We praise this hotel on many levels. As soon as we walked in Sade at the front desk greeted us warmly and every other front desk person was just as gracious.! We stayed four nights in room 502. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. One of us used the gym every morning and all equipment was functional. The only con was the a/c was very noisy but highly functional which is critical July in Texas. On the day that we checked out, we got hung up at the airport with the fiasco of the IT world wide bug. When I called the hotel, they immediately let us have our room back for another night at the same rate so we felt very fortunate. They had been sold out in nights previous. When returning to Houston we would certainly stay here again.

This hotel is located in suburban Houston behind a 7/11 and dive bar and next to a major highway. It’s one of the few Marriott properties in a 20 mile radius. The rooms are from the 80s. Amenities are far below average. No water in the room. At check in for a two night stay they asked me if I wanted my room cleaned the next day and I said yes please. Of course there were no free upgrades available which seems to be the norm with Marriott’s loyalty program. They didn’t clean the room or drop off towels and I was informed when I inquired that rooms are cleaned every other day. They did provide towels. No waters in the room and to boot they charged me $7 per day to park rental car in their oversized outside lot. They also have a popular smoking area that was below my room and every so often cigarette smoke would drift up and infiltrate the room. It also occasionally drifted through the vents. I won’t stay here again.

Ollie and Everett were amazing! They were so accommodating. The power went out in the middle of the night. They rehoused us in a neighboring hotel for so many of us in our party. We were here for a Rally for loved ones we lost to the Covid protocols. They spent countless hours helping reroute our party. No words can really express how much we appreciated their help. They truly didn’t need to do what they did since it was out of their hands with the power outage.

Pool is green; it is July 7th. There is NO excuse for a GREEN pool at Marriott. You are gonna have to do better. Ardmore OK Marriott runs CIRCLES around you bum steers. It’s summertime and it’s freaking hot and the Manager here doesn’t appreciate my criticism

Small bathroom, freezing temp in room, not enough tp and facial tissues, no tv guide, overcharged in error, no one available when we checked out, unresponsive to phone call, lousy overpriced restaurant.

First off check in was a smooth process very friendly faces. Room was on the Cityview side of the 11th floor (not bad). My husband and I decided to take a nap before going out for the evening. Within minutes of laying down I smelled a distinct odor of urine. We jumped up immediately pull back the sheets there was a large yellow stain on the under cushion just below the sheet. I called a head and immediately went down to the front desk and let them know just how disgusted I was with their cleanliness. The managers (that I just spoke with) sent a young lady to handle the complaint and quickly walked away not wanting to deal with customer service. The young lady was very apologetic and moved my husband and I to another room with two queen beds instead of a king like we had originally. Very disappointment in managers customer service and the cleanliness of this hotel. Will never stay again.
