My wife and I enjoyed a two night stay here. Location ideal for exploring a county we’d not visited for years. There’s a large free car park at the rear of the premises so no issues leaving our car. We were greeted at reception by a very engaging, friendly and professional member of staff, Teagan. Room was good and adequate for our two night stay with a reasonable size bathroom. Tea and coffee was provided too. Teagan showed us round the hotel and also the extremely impressive Spa, which boasts a superb large swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi. Indeed, we used the spa on both days of our stay! A real highlight. Breakfast was good with cooked to order food and a reasonable selection of buffet items such as cereal and yoghurts. We had evening meals here too in the bar. Menu is limited but supplemented by numerous Specials on the daily specials board. Everything we had was tasty and well presented. All in all we enjoyed our stay and will return as this hotel offers great value for money. An extra big plus are the welcoming staff who appeared to be well versed in the art of offering a welcome and engaging with the residents. Thank you.

We stayed for a weekend and found all staff, without exception, very friendly and professional. The room was well decorated, clean with a very comfortable bed. We enjoyed excellent breakfast and had a very tasty traditional Sunday lunch. Thoroughly recommend this hotel as an excellent base to explore the local area.

Very friendly and helpful team but room needs a serious deepclean and overhaul. Broken shower which ran cold for a number of minutes before hot water started, black mold in the shower tray and a general bad smell in the toilet cubicle. Bed was comfortable, but not much sleep was possible due to noisy outdoor bar area. Even with window shut (which at this time of year is a tough concession to make) still noisy until late into the night. Understand not the fault of the hotel, but would have thought they could have asked them to be considerate to other rooms or moved the group inside to the bar. Wifi practically non existent, if phone could connect it would drop and search to the point of frustration. Not ideal when travelling for work and need to clear up emails.

We only stayed for a one night break mainly to use the pool facilities and were not disappointed. The pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room are wonderful - really clean and can't be faulted. Our family room was clean and comfortable with only one tiny gripe that as usual the mirror was miles away from the nearest socket. We used the restaurant and the food was ok. What was really outstanding was the service. Despite being short staffed on the evening that we arrived we were served promptly by staff who were friendly, polite and so helpful. The staff in the morning were equally lovely and obliging. We felt really welcomed and can certainly recommend.

Definite highlight was the gym and pool. Good base to explore Herefordshire. Friendly staff; a special mention for Tegan, who turned her hand to at least half a dozen jobs during our stay! Always cheerful and a huge asset to the hotel.

This hotel is ideally placed in the middle of the fabulous Herefordshire tour of Black and White villages. Lots of pretty villages to visit with a stack of wonderful houses to see. We chose The Burton as it was half way round the circular route of the villages and we were not disappointed. From the friendly welcome greeting from Emily to the excellent very helpful staff who couldn't do enough to make our two night stay as pleasant as possible. An excellent large room with all the extras you could wish for - located in a new rear block facing on to a quiet road - and yet the hotel is located right in the heart of the village. The evening meals had a very good choice for each course and in addition there was an excellent bar menu so you could mix and match. Cooked to order breakfasts - a bit light on fruit - but otherwise first class. Added benefit of a spa and pool for those who wanted a bit of pampering.

Where do I start... my daughter had her wedding reception here. I cannot fault anything, Jana, Emily, Ann-Marie and the team could not do enough. Everyone commented on how lovely one was, rooms fantastic and the food was faultless. So much guests that came to wedding are rebooting again to stop there. Thank you for making the day extra special

Lunch was good although the various parts of it varied. The soup of the day was very nice and well up to scratch. I was unimpressed by the two slices of white bread which came with it. The cup of coffee I consumed at the bar after lunch was very good indeed.
