We stayed one night at the Secret Garden and absolutely loved it. The house is stunning and the staff are so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the morning was so delicious. We will definitely book again for our next trip to Kingston.

For my birthday, we drove down to Kingston to enjoy Afternoon Tea at the Secret Garden Inn at Argyle Place. This place has been a B&B since 1996 but the tea service has only been around for 3 years. The building is a fully restored Victorian home built in 1888. It has a beautiful garden, veranda plus an outdoor eating area. This is not your typical egg salad and cucumber/cream cheese finger sandwiches kind of place. It’s a case of quality over quantity. Each gourmet bite burst with unique flavours and included spices like saffron and lavender. Our host explained that they support local food growers, make their own jams, and the scones just came out of the oven. I knew this place was serious about their tea service when our host came out with samples of six different loose leaf teas. After describing each tea and letting us sniff the samples, we placed our orders. Overall a great experience.

A guest house that delivers high end service and breakfasts that are simply Devine. Upon arrival we were welcomed by Cyrus who checked us in and showed us to our room, sharing information on the local area. The room was very clean and the bed superbly comfortable. Air conditioning kept the room comfortable when outside the temperature was around 80F. The breakfast was simply excellent (choice of sweet or savoury) cooked and served to a very high standard. We had two nights which marked the end of our vacation, however we really would have liked to stay longer had we been able to. This is being the secret garden inn, the secret is out and is a must stay if in the Kingston area.

A group of 6 of us recently had High Tea at the Secret Garden.. A wonderful experience with outstanding service and food. Highly recommend High Tea to everyone especially for significant life events.

Lovely room, the bed was very comfortable and I slept well. Great staff, they were worked with me to make my check in as smooth as possible even though I made the reservation from my car. Breakfast was a real treat. I would 100% stay there again.

This is a charming spot to stay in Kingston. Very thoughtful touches in the room, a warm welcome, and delicious breakfast make this a return visit for sure. When the garden is in full bloom, this will be the place to stay for a getaway weekend. All the shops and cafes are within an easy walk too.

Beautiful building and rooms. We arrived very late due to traffic and had an easy time with self check-in. Bed was extremely comfortable. Food delicious. We would definitely book again. Very well located close the downtown and Queen's university. We really enjoyed our stay.

We had a wonderful stay. Our room was beautiful and super comfortable with all amenities provided. Breakfast was also delicious and all the staff were extremely pleasant. Will definitely stay here again. Great location. - we walked everywhere
