Ffolkes Arms Hotel

Great overnight break. Very friendly staff. Clean, spacious well equipped room with enormous bathroom, coffee machine etc. and excellent breakfast. Ate in the restaurant in the evening, good service, great bar area with comfortable seatingwould definitely come again

Stayed with my wife on 26th and 27th of September for my birthday,in room 1, very nice room,beautiful bathroom with lovely roll top bath and great shower, very comfortable bed,all staff were very friendly and helpful, food was lovely especially the breakfast great quality produce and plenty to choose from, have already booked to stay for our anniversary in the spa cabin next year. Highly recommend a visit whether you stay or just book a table for breakfast.

Very difficult review to write, some write on trip adviser and get caught in the moment and not in the cold light of day. Staff very attentive and nothing to much trouble all very young, loads of car parking, central for all the things to visit, Breakfast very good with Quality produce. Room clean , shower great, no waiting for a trickle of hot water while freezing, good value for money room small but functional clean no complaints. Now the difficult bit the Hotel cant do anything about the road noise other than some serious sound proofing, if you are a light sleeper even a deep sleeper it is horrendous if you are used to peace and quiet starts at 4.00 am hotel only yards from the 148 with 50 ton lorrys cars hurtling past and none obey the 30 mph limit. Hotel is targeting the younger people and familes in my view with the Resteraunt a Bar arrangement. Can not comment on the food only what we were told. The Garden speakers and Bar plays loud ear splitting boom boom music until around 10.30 pm then the young familys start to leave shouting and screaming. Disaster if you retire early no sign of attempt to ask them to leave quietly the rooms are only 15mt 25 mt respectively from the bar and garden. If the Hotel had been more older people friendly and sensitive to those wanting a bit of peace regarding noise and SHOUTING screaming review would have been 4 star.

Went for my anniversary. Had amazing time in front of house and the cleaning team made our anniversary. Did everything I asked made the room look amazing. And the food was amazing. I had a burger which was absolutely amazing and the Mrs had tacos which were fantastic Thank you very much

Shower mouldy and dirty. The outside full of cobwebs and spiders needs cleaning. Loads of bugs flying about so had to shut the doors and couldn’t use the outside area. Spiders and flys all in the bedroom when we arrived so not like it’s been dark and we’ve had a light on etc. the patio area was dirty and rust stained. Dusty mantle above bed frame. Really in need of better upkeep for the price you pay I’m not impressed.

This was our second time staying at the Ffolkes and another lovely time! We chose Coaching Room one again. We love the spacious room overlooking the garden and huge bathroom with excellent shower. We had a very friendly greeting when the first arrived. Really tasty food in the evening from Oishii and a great breakfast with lots of choice.

We had an amazing night in one of the spa cabins. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome and special. We were checked in by a very bright and friendly lady, who gave us all the information we needed and made the start of our stay so easy. The cabin was just perfect, we have had several spa breaks and this was by far our favourite. The facilities were perfect, we loved the way it was all set out. The decor was very modern and vibrant. Luxury feel and very comfortable bed. The views were stunning. Loved the hot tub, so clean and fresh water was lovely, no chemicals made using it so much more relaxing, we went in 4 times! The sauna was a bonus. Fire burner and plenty of wood was so nice and we lit it on arrival and had plenty of wood for the entire evening. Loved the marshmallows and biscuits. Continer crazy golf is highly recommended, fun and tricky layout, great deal on drink and game. The food was excellent, we love street food the breakfast was 1st class. All the staff were so attentive and friendly. All round a wonderful experience, we are going to go back in winter for two nights.

Me and my partner stayed in one of the spa cabins last night for my birthday. We were greeted by a lovely lady on check in (I didn’t get her name but she was so lovely!), and off we went to our room. The spa cabins are beautiful, included is a hot-tub and a sauna, you get a sofa and a large tv as well as a super comfy bed, I cannot fault the room at all, it was perfect and gives such a lovely view out onto a field as well. They also provide room service meaning we could get cocktails delivered straight to our door (I highly recommend the strawberry sherbet cocktail, it’s delicious!). Unfortunately, our evening meal was not so good, I had a chicken burger with dirty fries, my partner had chicken wings with dirty fries, and we shared some small plates, it was all just very tasteless and bland which was very sad as we were really looking forward to eating here, so we ventured to a place called waffleopolis, 20 minutes away, for dessert instead. Breakfast was lovely in the morning, I couldn’t fault that at all!! All in all we had an absolutely lovely stay but I would just say that the evening food was not great and if we were to stay again I wouldn’t eat dinner in the restaurant.

We stayed in one of the spa cabins celebrating a birthday. The room was so clean and colourful. The best thing though was the sauna and jacuzzi. Managed to spot the white dear in the field behind the cabin. The food was delicious delivered to our door with a QR code ordering system. Marshmallows and biscuits supplied to make s’mores on the outside fire pit which was laid and extra wood provided. Nothing was too much trouble we slept well and enjoyed the buffet breakfast with a full range of options
