Stayed in the Dukes Head hotel- Kings Lynn to meet with friends the day before a wedding.
The hotel itself is located well in the centre of town and on first look in good condition around the outside and the lobby.
Our room on the other hand was not great. The shower was leaking, the floor not cleaned. The worst of it was being placed next to the lift, the noise was ridiculous, like having a tv on full volume all throughout the night. I noted this to reception and no apologies or acknowledgement to the issue seemed to sync in. I would not recommend staying at this hotel at all.

The staff were extremely helpful & the room was very clean. The room was a little on the small side for a double room. It was difficult to get out of bed on one side. I wasn’t aware there was a £10 charge for the car park but I would recommend this hotel.

Was a very nice hotel. Everything we needed as a family of 3 except we were in room 100 and it was right next to the lift. Every time the loft moved and the doors opened you could hear everything.. it was all evening and from very early in the morning. We had to sleep with the TV on to drown out the continuing sound.

Lovely hotel But ,,,,,we have stayed there several times and being disabled with lift ticks all the boxes however this visit we were asked to pay £15 pn for the privilege of parking in their own car park which added £45 on our bill discusting .we paid extra for a family room because they were fully booked and it was still the same only with extra single bed and the toilet seat was unfixed so discusting I hate being took advantage off I won’t use them again .I never complain but felt used this time .

This is a characterful hotel with pleasant staff, serving a good beakfast (well, self-service, actually) until 10/10:30am. Standard doubles are small-really only big enough for 1 person, but well-equipped. The lounge is the best feature, great to sit and read or have coffee etc. Car parking is reported as beiing expensive and difficult to access, but you don't need a car if travelling from London, say, as the train service is good and generally reliable and the local buses are great both for travelling cross-country from Norwich and Peterborough and for exploring the coast. The hotel restaurant's all day/evening menu is a bit disappointing and expensive (£30 for a steak), but there are plenty of places to eat in the town, even in the evenings. Plenty of cafes for snacks and light meals-I can recommend the one next to the bus station, Maya, open every day until 5/6pm. For a meal, Prezzo is just yards away and you can sit outside-it re-opens on 28 July.
