Room with a patio and view
We booked one night at the Queen Victoria, had a lovely friendly welcome on arrival , our room was bigger than we were expecting but lovely clean and fresh .
However the shower was a bit concerning as it was very hot to touch .
We had evening meal in the restaurant and it was prepared and cooked lovely typical of pub meals .
We took at drink back to our room and sat on the patio which was enjoyable as lovely weather . Shame some of view is the car park but you mostly see the pub garden .
We had a very enjoyable stay and will return. Room had tea/ coffee facilities in .TV etc .
However no breakfast cooked week days , but we were told of few places just a small walk away that do breakfast s and so we try someone else for no breakfast.
The owner was a lovely lady ,

Modest but clean comfortable room. Plenty of hot water to shower. Nice evening meal ( also special meal nights). Down side no breakfasts (only Saturday & Sunday)

Lovely meal. Went for sizzler Friday and l had the chicken, my husband had the steak. Cooked perfectly. Nice drinks, lovely , friendly staff. Couldn't fault it. There were plenty in, all served quickly and looked like everyone was enjoying there food. Would recommend

After a very disappointing expense meal on Friday at the Rose & Crown we went to see Annie who was fantastic, helpful and friendly, the food was lovely. Thank you Annie, and to Annie's boss boy have you got a good one there! Despite being very busy Annie was so good.

Just called in for a sandwich at lunchtime, and for wife to take her medication with a lemonade. She has Parkinson's and dementia so always a challenge. She managed to knock over her glass of lemonade, but the staff were understanding and helped me swipe up. Our tuna sandwich was excellent. the staff were very caring for her. Thankyou Queen Victoria!

Do NOT eat here. The food is the worst food I've ever eaten and for the price??? Ridiculous. I'm shocked they actually serve this rubbish with a straight face. I'm certain it's all bought frozen from the local supermarket and then sold at a premium. Avoid like the plague!
