Lodge Farm Bed & Breakfast

If I was able to rate no stars I would. We had the unfortunate experience of booking our wedding at Lodge Farm, which turned into an absolute nightmare. What started as an exciting journey quickly unraveled due to misleading contract details and incredibly poor communication. We ultimately had no choice but to cancel our wedding after discovering significant discrepancies between what was promised and what was outlined in the contract. When we raised our concerns, instead of being met with understanding or professionalism, we were spoken to condescendingly by the owner, who addressed us in a manner that was not only dismissive but downright patronising – as though we were children. Despite the situation being caused by their lack of transparency, we’ve lost a significant amount of money. All attempts to resolve the issue amicably were met with defensiveness and blame-shifting. We are now pursuing the matter through Small Claims Court, which no couple should have to go through during what should be a joyful and exciting time. I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone. If you’re considering Lodge Farm for your wedding or event, please read everything with a fine-tooth comb and be prepared for incredibly poor customer service if anything goes wrong. Avoid the stress – look elsewhere.

My wife and I stayed here overnight whilst visiting family nearby. We arrived late on in the evening it is way out in the countryside but on getting closer you come across signs for the b and b. We were given the gate code earlier on a phone call, as when we were going to arrive the electric gate would be locked, on parking the car you are required to go around the building to reception, it was pitch black and no light in the car park until you round the corner. We were greeted and shown to our room, which was lovely, we had an adjacent bathroom, which in our opinion was a little dated and could do with a redecoration. After a pleasant night's sleep in lovely bedding we went to breakfast which was included in the price, the food was lovely and more than enough. The host were great very chatty and welcoming, we would recommend this place to others and we will stay again in the future.

Such a beautiful stay at the Lodge Farm House. Me and my partner stayed for two nights to attend a wedding near by, the rooms were comfy and clean and the bathroom was lovely! We were welcomed by Carol and Bob who were so friendly and accommodating, they even gave us a lift to the wedding when we didn’t have one! They really went above and beyond to make our stay peaceful, stress free and lovely. Idyllic and romantic weekend get away with stunning grounds and a fab breakfast! Couldn’t recommend more, overall a lovely b&b.
