Liamo Reef Resort

It's a big hotel, so be careful where you book your room. We stayed in one of the older buildings and even though we had a 'superior' room, it's rather worn down. The complimentary breakfast is very basic. And for heaven's sake, don't charge for a doggy-bag !

First time visiting WNB and overall view from the outside of the resort was welcoming. Spacious carparks and greenery, welcoming staff. The helpfulness of the staff in ensuring that our team was taken care of and assistance with whatever needs was appreciated. The food was amazing, more for your buck compared to Port Moresby, they always had fresh local fruits for breakfast, the spacious dining area and bar, café was indoors and airconditioned and the beach front had given us plenty of sunset pictures to last a life time. One take away would be that the beach front was closed after 6pm, although we understanding that it might be for safety reasons, it would have been nice to sit on the beach in the night to unwind. Otherwise all the rooms were air conditioned and housing keeping came everyday, the markets were just up the roads, close to all amenities but far away so you don't get disturbed, it was peaceful.

Constantly below average. Stayed at the hotel two times in the last 6-months for 5 and 4-night stay respectively.. Complained about the continued lack of hot water in the rooms (B16 & 10) and the very poor bedding and bathroom linen on the first trip. Guess what, same issues on the 2nd trip! Management fails to address these basic issues, I can only guess to save a buck. Do yourself a favour and stay elsewhere.

This hotel is in such a good position on the beach. The rooms are OK but the service in the hotel is poor poor poor. Ate at the restaurant the other night and 2 meals came out after 30 minutes but the 3rd was 20 minutes later after the others had finished. Then got the bill and they had added k90 to the bottom of the bill for a bottle of wine we didn't have. Trying again tonight and 1st in the restaurant drinks took 20 minutes to come 20 metres to the table took our food order 10 minutes later and came 1 hour in but without the child meal .... wonder how long that will take. Update both meals finished and still waiting for the childs meal ..... poor poor poor....Would choose elsewhere but there isn't anywhere.
