This hotel is terrible! First of all, we made a reservation online. They didn’t charge by room, but by head (because all meals were included), but the price was still more expensive. A few minutes after the reservation was completed, we found that the number of people was wrong (two rooms for the five of us were actually enough. But two people and two rooms cost 1,500 per night, and five people and two rooms cost 3,750 per night), so we want to cancel. Ctrip made countless calls and emails to the hotel, but the hotel did not reply. Ctrip is very nice and responsible! But the hotel did it on purpose. They said they would give us a preferential price at the front desk, but they didn’t! After arriving at the hotel, they told us that 1,000 yuan would be enough for 2 people in a room for one night. They would help us cancel the online reservation tomorrow, so that we could rest assured and stay happily. The next day they changed their attitude and told us that the hotel could not be canceled and we had to pay the original price, which was much more expensive. If we had known better, we would have changed hotel! We were not even allowed to go out to see the animals without paying, which delayed us for an hour. We were threatened with all kinds of threats, and we had no choice but to give the money! Lightning protection! ! ! All kinds of cold looks! ! There is no hot water, there is no wifi in the room, there are many mosquitoes, and the curtains are still broken.

Our stay was ruined by theft from our locked safe—€600 was taken in a way that we wouldn’t immediately notice. The management refused to take responsibility, didn’t apologize, and even implied we made it up. We had to involve the police ourselves, only to watch the manager treat them better than us. This experience cost us our safari and caused serious stress. Until this is resolved, I strongly advise against staying here. DO NOT USE THE IN-ROOM SAFETY DEPOSIT BOXES – THEY WILL STEAL FROM THEM WITHOUT RESETTING YOUR CODE AND THEN MAKE YOU LOOK LIKE A FOOL.

While the hotel may look nice with its private cottages and a lovely pool, do not be fooled. This place is run by dishonest management, and the staff have a history of stealing money from guests’ rooms. Unfortunately, we became victims of this – €600 was stolen from our locked safe in the hotel room. The money was taken in specific amounts from three different wallets (€150, €150, and €300), leaving just enough so that we wouldn’t immediately notice. If we hadn’t needed the money to pay for our safari, we might not have realized it was missing. This was a terrible experience, made even worse by how the manager treated us. He refused to take the theft seriously, never apologized, and even acted as if we were making the story up. They also refused to contact the police, forcing us to do it ourselves. In Kenya, where police don’t have vehicles, this meant we had to personally bring officers to the hotel. To make matters worse, the manager treated the police officers better than us—inviting them to dinner and trying to convince them that we fabricated the entire story. We have absolutely no reason to invent such a serious situation. Losing €600 completely ruined our plans—we missed our safari and had to spend the day at the police station. This theft has caused us significant stress and financial hardship for the rest of our trip in Kenya. We demand an immediate resolution to this matter. Until it is resolved, I strongly warn others to AVOID staying at this hotel!

It was really good, the roots were very crean and pretty. There is Internet only in the reception but it is enough. The personal was really kind and friendly. The food was nice. Everything was good. There are monkeys in the lodge and during the day we were able to see warthogs, zebras and gazelles inside the lodge.

Review of Kilima Camp We stayed at Kilima Camp for two nights from January 15th to January 17th, 2025. While the accommodation is beautiful and the surroundings are breathtaking, our experience was tarnished by a serious incident. During our stay, €600 and 2,000 Ksh were stolen from the safe in our room. When we reported the issue, the hotel staff and management displayed a shocking lack of responsibility or concern. They offered no meaningful assistance and seemed indifferent to our predicament. We had to go to the police on our own, only to be told that this wasn’t the first time such an incident had been reported. The police promised to investigate but, unfortunately, no resolution was provided. We strongly advise future guests to keep their cash and valuables with them at all times and not to trust the safes in the rooms. There are allegations of theft occurring at this property, which significantly undermines the sense of security one expects while staying here.

Immersi nella natura. Personale molto gentile. Abbiamo dormito in una capanna/tenda con tutti i comfort. L’alloggio pulito e il necessario per la permanenza. Il risveglio con gli uccelli della savana che cinguettano è unico! Da ripetere

Beautiful accommodation situated in Amboseli National Park, we had a fantastic stay here with fabulous food for breakfast, lunch & dinner. Our room was clean and turned down each evening, with mosquito nets popped down. Lovely bar & restaurant with great staff who were welcoming. We loved the lookout tower with great views of Kilimanjaro and the animals visiting their watering hole. I highly recommend their nature walk, it was very interesting and gave a great insight into how the Massai treat different ailments, the local habitat etc. We used the pool each day we were there and it was lovely, visited by the most beautiful dragonflies!

Kilima Safari Camp is an ideal location for visiting Amboseli. Amid a beautiful setting, wooded walkways take you to individual cabins. The cabins have everything you need including a comfortable bed, fine bath, and evocative and functional decor, but adding plugs beside the bed and making the lighting less dim would improve the guest experience. The observation platform atop the restaurant provides excellent views of the surrounding plains. The trees and grounds also host wildlife, including magnificent birds, a few warthogs peacefully munching on the grass and even a zebra that we encountered on our way to our cabin. The very fine food in the restaurant offers tremendous variety from European, Indian, Asian, and East African cuisines prepared and served superbly. Not fine dining, but perfect for the hungry traveler on safari. One of our party had a birthday on our second evening and the staff led our group in a lively celebration. Recommend Kilima Safari Camp wholeheartedly.
