Everything was typical premier inn, when you book premier inn it’s generally a template. Only negatives would be the corridor on bottom floor (one section) was freezing. Also receptionist wasn’t really full of joy. Everything else was great

Absolutely abysmal. Avoid this place at all costs. We stayed here for 4 nights unfortunately. Between the hours of 17.00hrs 00.30hrs and 05.00hrs and 10.00hrs there was a really loud humming noise in our room. Not just a low him- a really loud noise- so loud that we had to turn up the tv to hear over it and making it impossible to sleep until after 00.30hrs and was rudely awoken every morning at 05.00hrs - 4 and a half hours sleep for 4 nights in a row was horrific. We informed reception on the first night. The receptionist pretended not to know what it was and and that it had never happened before. We would not have been the only ones/first ones to complain as it was really loud and constant. The receptionist said that she would run the water in the livingroom? Incase that was the issue. It made no difference at all. The next night was exactly the same so in the morning we complained again. The daytime receptionist was more helpful and said that this was an ongoing issue and that there were notices on the staff areas and also in the livingroom upstairs saying “don’t turn off the water” so the water is constantly running- other wise this horrendous humming noise becomes a big problem for guests and that the water cost for this hotel must be horrific as it’s always running. The lady said that they had replied the boiler in the past but it hadn’t rectified the issue. She also said that engineers had been out- but whenever they come the humming has stopped prior to their arrival so not diagnosed as it hasn’t happened. The receptionist said that she had even recorded the noise in the corridor as it is so bad and loud. As we were out for the day the receptionist said that she would try and move our room as it was just our room and the neighbouring ones in that corridor that had the noise issue, she said to check when we got back. On arriving back, it was the receptionist that “acted” surprised at noise on duty, so we didn’t hold out much hope of being moved….no surprise, she told us that we couldn’t move as there were no other rooms available. So yet again very little sleep. This was the same for the following night as well. Premier inn should not be putting people in these noisy rooms - especially as it is an ongoing issue- it is just pure greed and all about taking peoples money. Disgraceful. Do not stay here.

Basic but friendly. The room was small but enough. The beds were comfy though. Only downside was a weird smell. The staff were friendly and check in was quick and simple. I would have liked the option to have a room closer to the exit though so I smoke and have mobility issues

This is a really good hotel to have as a base for your visit. The beds are so comfy, the rooms are light and airy and very clean. The restaurant next door is very good indeed. The reason for my visits are always to see family, but I wouldn't think of using a different hotel. The staff are friendly and very helpful. I had no complaints at all.

There was no WiFi (free or Ultimate, don’t bother paying for the ultimate because it’s no better) Most of the lights in the room didn’t work so I had to have the full room lights on at night time. For over £100 on a Friday night, it’s not good enough. Unfortunately at this point with hotel prices, It’s not just about a ‘good nights sleep’ when you charge people so much money, it’s about the amenities and room as well.

Excellent hotel. Staff all polite and helpful. Room was excellent, spotlessly clean. Had the meal deal, excellent value and the food was good especially the breakfast.
