We loved this cozy Inn with all of its presidential cottages and the gorgeous landscaping. We stayed in the Madison and it exceeded our expectations with cleanliness, comfort, amenities, and charm. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. We will definitely be back.

We were upgraded to a lovely king suite without asking. We had to climb a set of stairs, but there was an alternative room if we had chosen not to do the stairs. The food in the dining room was terrific, and the service couldn't be better. Highly recommended.

Wonderful place to stay. Friendly staff. Clean, comfortable room. The Inn was recommended by some friends who have stayed there many times. It didn't disappoint. We were unexpectedly upgraded to a lovely suite. There is no elevator, so if stairs are a problem check first. The room was very quiet (except for the heater fan). The food and service were excellent. We will be back.

Truly unique place to stay. Staff was very welcoming. Plenty of parking. We stayed in the Tippecanoe Room, which had its own private porch and looked out onto the courtyard. We arrived well before check in time and our room was ready. The room was immaculate. Plenty of room to put our stuff. Small refrigerator in the room, large-screen TV, huge king-size bed. Our bathroom was huge as well, plenty of soft towels, a hair dryer, lots of room as we were both able to be in there at the same time to get ready for dinner. The bathroom even had a heater in the ceiling; perfect for when you get out of the shower. Plenty of room to sit in the room, chairs are roomy and plentiful. Lots of lighting. The HVAC in the room was quiet and we were able to set it for the temperature at which we felt comfortable. Just across from our cottage/room, was the Jefferson Room. Lots of places to congregate, sit and read, listen to music, play pool or table shuffleboard, there was a chess, backgammon and checker board as well. A small kitchen in there also to get ice and wash dishes if needed. Restroom was also in there. A super cool place especially if traveling with other couples or the kids. Nice, quiet place to hang out and enjoy the time. The inn is decorated to the hilt with presidential historical stuff. Fascinating to walk around and just take it all in. I would highly recommend the Kilmarnock Inn when heading to the Northern Neck of Virginia or stopping through to another destination. I will be glad to recommend this place to friends who are traveling through. By the way, easily accessible to town, less than a block from Main Street with tons of restaurants, boutiques, and other types of shopping.

My husband and I just returned from a weekend stay and we cannot say enough good things about it! We stayed in The Berkley and it was everything we could have asked for. The amenities were plentiful and the private balcony overlooking the courtyard was the perfect place to just sit and relax. The room came with a hot gourmet breakfast each morning - anything you want off the menu - and both were plentiful and delicious. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and we had the pleasure of speaking with the owner, who was happy to fill us in on the history of the inn. We loved every second of our stay in this charming town and inn and will definitely be returning!

My wife and I spent one night at the Inn and loved every second of our stay. Our room was perfect as was the courtyard it overlooked. The staff and service were exceptional. The restaurant has a small bar and it was a great place to have a drink and appetizer before exploring the town. Breakfast in the morning was delicious as well. We will definitely stay again but more than one night next time.

It was a great place for a getaway. The Kilmarnock Inn is fabulous. Love the decor, the service, the staff and the rooms. The room came with breakfast in their restaurant. You get to choose from the menu. It was hard to pick because the list all sounds delicious. We enjoyed our stay and wish to go back.

Wow. Or, more precisely: WOW! Friends had suggested this delightful spot in Virginia's Northern Neck, an area we'd never visited prior to last weekend. The host greeted us warmly and placed us in a room close to those of family members, as we had all convened for a funeral. The inn's theme rises from Virginia's reputation as "Home of the Presidents," and each room or suite is dedicated to one of the country's leaders and is furnished with items of the 18th and early19th century, some antique, some replica. We slept in a delightful four-poster, a first for both of us. An elegant breakfast is included, and the restaurant offers three meals a day, magnificently prepared. The entire establishment is meticulously clean, with thick carpets and nicely upholstered seats everywhere.

We booked all of Kilmarnock Inn for our wedding weekend, and it was one of the best decisions we made. Our friends and family could not stop talking about how charming it was. The breakfasts (included with your stay) are so good, and it's so fun to go downstairs and eat with everyone! The rooms are clean and nice and comfortable. Shawn and the staff could not have been more accommodating. They helped us put welcome bags in everyone's room and really made our weekend special. They even put a congrats message for us on the sign out front. Finally, the "gathering room" is such a great space with pool and shuffleboard tables. Our guests ended up spending a lot of time in there! Thank you, Kilmarnock Inn!
