This place feels like a European ski chalet. It's not fancy by any stretch but its clean and the beds are fine and the staff (other than the male bartender who worked St Patricks Day eve) is super super nice. It's cozy and warm with a big fire always going! Lots of places to sit and play games or read or chat. The pub is a pub. It's very Irish and the food is fine. It's Pub food! We love the pool table and darts room too! I find hot tubs kind of gross anywhere so did not go into the indoor nor the outdoor one. The smell of chlorine in VERY strong when you are in the game room or the pub because the indoor hot tub is right there in next room with door open. They might want to think about closing it. Here is my one REALLY BIG complaint. The amount of plastic and single use everything in the hotel is SHOCKING. They use plastic cups in the bar. Single use dinner ware as well!! Everything in the breakfast is single use. bowls, cups, silverware. There are individual plastic packets of everything from yogurt to peanut butter to little cereal boxes. Oh and of course single use bathroom products. Oh my lord I can only imagine how much waste they send to landfill on any given week. I thought Vermont was supposed to be Green? Honestly for this reason alone, regardless of how cute and simple the place is I am not sure I would go back. It just left me feeling depressed every time I had a "glass" of anything and I refused to go to the breakfast (truthfully plastic aside its pretty lame) because I could not bear to think about the trash I would be creating in one sitting. Oh and the icing on the cake was that they were celebrating St Patricks with a very fun lively festival but they were pushing "merch". When the festival was over there were boxes upon boxes of leftover shirts etc that are definitely destined for landfill . Come on guys. You can do better.

Very nice place, pool is warm enough to enjoy in the winter, beautiful especially when snowing. The rooms are very clean. Breakfast could be improved, there was no protein, only breads and muffins but better than nothing. The restaurant had almost no food due to oven not working, we went off property.
