We’ve stayed at The Heritage many times and keep going back. The spa is a 5 star experience! Beautiful thermal suites and experienced therapists. They continue to retain such a high standard. The bar is always full of activity so has a great atmosphere. The food both bar and restaurant is delicious and such a lovely experience due to classy decor and brilliant staff. Sarah Jane has been there on many of our visits and is always helpful with the menu and happy to have a chat to make it a friendly dining experience. The breaks are really good value too. Our next trip will be in the planning before too long.

Had a very disappointing stay this weekend. The changing rooms in spa are very grubby and was no towels available for 30min for showers. We booked to eat in the bar. The floor staff in the bar were over whelmed and under trained. The service was very slow (beverages orders forgotten about) and meal was below average. I had to send back my linguine prawn as it had only one prawn and no parmesan. Portion sizes were very small. My desert order was also forgotten and melted icecream served to me an hour later. Positives were the rooms and the general hotel decor was lovely. And the breakfast was very good.

I stayed here to celebrate a milestone birthday for friends and was quite disappointed. While we had a fridge, there was no water left in the room, something I tend to take as standard now. I didn’t expect to have to go back to my room to get a towel, as the pool area had none. The shower floor in the spa was slippery. Dinner in Blake’s was average at best, especially if you don’t like potatoes. I asked for rice with my curry to be told they didn’t have any. Blakes could do with some maintenance as there were a lot of light bulbs blown. I have stayed in hotels, which cost a lot less and offered a better choice of menu for dinner and better amenities. I feel the hotel is overpriced for what it is.

Our room on the 3rd floor was spotlessly clean, and well appointed, I couldn't fault it, a fabulous modern colour scheme with a sunken bath. After dropping the bags we headed straight to bar Seven, where 6 x inexperienced staff members were running around like headless chickens as there was no Bar Manager on duty, they didn't know what to do. I politely waited 11 x mins to order a Pint and a Baileys, with no "Bar person" running the actual bar, the Lounge Staff where clearly overwhelmed as it took, 15 x mins to get 2 drinks. 1 lady brought back her bottle of Coke asking "could you take the cap top off, please?". My thought process was, if they can't manage a Hotel Bar at 4.30pm when its relatively quiet, how are they going to manage when they are taking food orders in and the bar gets busy with patrons, come 7pm. So we decided to venture out and went to the pub that serves food 4 x mins walk from the Hotel called The Thatch Pub, what a God send!! The staff made us feel like...we were old friends they had been expecting. We asked was it too early for food as it was 5.30pm and we were told no, please come and sit down, what would we like to drink and here's our menu. Talk about a lesson in warmth & hospitality. The meal in The Thatch was amazing and the portion sizes huge...so make sure your "starving"!! We retired for the night back to The Heritage and slept very well, the beds are very comfortable and every part of the Hotel is spotlessly clean...so a serious "shout out to Housekeeping" as yee are doing a great job. The Breakfast is without a doubt the best I've had in a Hotel in years, the lovely Rebecca greeted us and the serving staff very attentive. The hot breakfast is made to order and my Waffles were delicious, my Husbands "Full Irish" super fresh and tasty, 10/10. The Chef's, Servers and Barista's are a credit to The Heritage Hotel, you guys have "nailed breakfast". The only area that needs attention is FOH (a warm welcome would go a long way on a rainy day) and a Bar Manager in Seven working the Bar, not just doing the rounds and propping up the Drinks Menus on the tables. Oh and the Smoking Area, please provide ashtrays, as the funnel ashtrays attached to the wall are not being emptied. Btw this hotel has some very interesting pieces of art dotted around, so take time to enjoy it.

The staff were very friendly & welcoming. We had afternoon tea, evening meal & breakfast which were all delicious. Getting out for a walk on the 5k track was a bonus. The spa was a treat for the senses & relaxing. Lisa Bradley & Sintija look after me so well.

Stayed at the hotel recently with a few of my friends. It is a very nice 4* hotel, clean, well laid out, bright and airy and polished. The room I had was large and pleasant. Booked the room fairly last minute and it was €469 for the room for one night which is exorbitant for a room for B&B. The bar is nice and we ate in the Blakes restaurant. The dinner selection was limited and honestly the food was tasteless as agreed by all of us at the table. The breakfast was also poor, had the full Irish and understanding these are mass produced, again a tasteless breakfast. Oh Well.. Staff were great including Anna at dinner on the Saturday night. Anyways, hope this review helps. We did not get to the spa/ gym area. For those staying here to play golf, the course is amazing, just bring extra golf balls… there is lots of water hazards… enjoy.

We have been visiting this Hotel for many years now.. This time for 60th birthday celebration. Overall we enjoyed our stay but feel the quality of food has disapproved . Meal was lukewarm and very limited choice. Tea and coffee extra after meal. On the plus side the Spa is gorgeous and we really enjoyed our treatments. Weather was brutal so walk to Hotel outdoors was not a pleasant experience.

60th birthday celebration . We have been coming to this Hotel for many years mainly due to quality of Spa it never fails to disappoint. However standard of food has definitely disapproved . Food lukewarm and very little choice. Overall we enjoyed night .The weather was horrible so the walk from Spa outdoors to Hotel in a dressing gown was another negative.
