Old weir lodge was such a dream stay! The rooms are large with big windows and comfortable beds/bedding. There are several sitting areas to use during the day to read and relax as well as have a cocktail at the bar in the afternoon. Breakfast was enjoyed daily in the sun room and had ample options for preference and dietary restrictions. The location was walkable to historic attractions, pubs, and restaurants. We did not make any plans but the front desk had several suggestions and were so glad we took one day to explore the national park by boat. We also enjoyed a day trip to dingle. I would very much enjoy staying here again as it also seemed like locals from all over Ireland were on holiday here as well. The landscaping and flowers all over the property are out of a fairy tale. This was for my mom’s 61st birthday and the front desk was able to surprise her with a cake from the local bakery on our last morning there.

Wir sind zu fünft angereist in zwei Zimmern (Triple für unsere Söhne und das Doppelzimmer für uns Eltern). Eine sehr saubere und sehr schön eingerichtete Unterkunft mit überaus freundlichem Service (angefangen von der Rezeption bis zum Frühstückspersonal). Frühstück war vom allerfeinsten. Da wir vorhaben nochmals in die Region Killarney zu reisen werden wie sicher wieder die Old Weir Lodge als Unterkunft wählen.

We could not be happier with our choice to stay at Old Weir Lodge. From the minute we walked in, we felt like we were home. The room was spacious and comfortable - we got the family room which was perfect for our 12 and 14 year old - they each had their own single bed. Niall, Linda and Noreen were so helpful the 3 days we were there, that the kids wished we could stay longer in the small town. The lodge is a 5-10 minute walk into the center of town, and 5 minutes from the National Park. You will not regret staying at Old Weir Lodge and visiting Killarney. We will definitely be back.

We were on a family trip and stayed at the hotel for two nights. And got a very nice and large room with comfortable beds and nice decor. great area and free parking. The breakfast was great and the service was fantantic. Can only recommend and will definitely stay there next time we are nearby.

Sinceramento non ero molto convinto della prenotazione, e invece questo hotel si è dimostrato il soggiorno più piacevole di tutto il giro che abbiamo fatto in Irlanda. Innanzitutto il titolare e tutto il personale che ti fanno sentire come a casa, gentilissimi e simpaticissimi e poi tutti i locali in stile molto ricercati. Camera grande, luminosa con un letto comodo i rumori della strada non si sentivano. Bagno spazioso con molti spazi per gli oggetti, unica pecca la tendina nella vasca che però era pulitissima come nuova; molto puliti comunque tutti i locali. Colazione con salato alla carta e dolce a buffet con una buona varietà e prodotti locali tutti molto buoni . Buon segnale wifi sia in camera che nei locali comuni. Ampio parcheggio gratuito sia davanti che sul retro dell'entrata.

Lovely place to stay and wonderful staff. The rooms were nice, clean and bright. The staff at breakfast were so courteous and inclusive. The location made the stay so accessible to the town. It all summed up to a great 2 nights stay.

We loved our time at the Old Weir Lodge. Everybody was warm and helpful. The quality and the variety of the breakfast choices was very good (our children especially loved the hot chocolate with tiny marshmallows). The room was nice and clean. We were comfortable and happy and had a good gome base for our adventures in and around Killarney.

We stayed in a family room and our stay was perfect. The inn is truly a 10-15 minute walk into town on the main road. Lots of people walking so we felt completely safe doing it. Breakfast is included and was wonderful each day. There is a cold bar as well as being able to order from the menu. The food came out quickly too. Our stay couldn’t have been better!
