Beautiful hotel perfectly located a stone throw away from Killarney city centre. Friendly staff & fantastic service at both check in & breakfast. Will definitely stay here again & highly recommend.

Very pleasent stay,Room was in excellent condition,service was excellent,staff were very friendly,and very helpful.Overall we had a very good experence.The hotel itself is very central with easy access to town center and Muckross House.

Facilities and services top notch, but the staff was incredibly kind and well trained and engaged. Erin, the Director of Guest Experiences was effusive, joyful and super helpful! She literally said “I love my job!” And it shows! Breakfast was wonderful and their team attentive to gluten free needs! Highly Recommend!

A quintessential luxury hotel with beautiful common areas and dining rooms. The Great Southern Hotel is a must see even if you just stop by for desert or a meal. Arguably the nicest hotel in or around Killarney. I was there with my family and we were comfortable the whole stay. Go there you won’t be disappointed.

A huge thank you to Matthew in the leisure centre who was so nice and helpful when I was back in the leisure centre recently. I was trying to get around with a cumbersome double buggy and Matthew went out of his to be as helpful as possible. Fantastic and friendly staff in the Great Southern.

We only stayed one night at The Great Southern, but it was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The hotel itself is stunning, and the staff truly made our stay unforgettable. Erin was incredibly pleasant—so warm and helpful, and always with a smile. Dusam, who helped us with our bags, was just as kind and welcoming. We stayed in one of the newly refurbished rooms, and it was absolutely beautiful. The attention to detail, paired with the amazing view, really made it feel special. We had dinner at Browne’s Bar, which was phenomenal. Astin and his team were so helpful and made the evening really enjoyable. Breakfast the next morning was one of the best we’ve ever had. Kathleen and her team were fantastic, and the breakfast room itself was out of this world. We also visited the spa, and the therapist there was excellent—so professional and friendly. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, but what really sets it apart is the staff. They’re a true credit to the place!

What an exceptional service from start to finish. We were celebrating our silver wedding anniversary. We are just so glad we chose this Hotel to celebrate this big milestone in. Upon our arrival at check-in, we were greeted by the Manager on duty, Evelyn. From this moment on the magic happened. Evelyn, kindly upgraded us to the Jackie Kennedy Suite with complimentary Procecco and treats awaiting us in the room. We felt like Royalty. A beautifully decorated and elegant suite with every luxury at our fingertips, it even a record player! We savoured ever moment while sipping on our Procecco and listening to some Elvis Presley tunes. We decided to eat in Brownes bar and here we were met by the fabulous and charismatic Mike. After much deliberation we choose the Steaks from the extensive menu, without a doubt they were up there with the best steaks we have ever had, so kudos to the Chef. The bar was so cosy and had a lovely relaxing atmosphere. The following morning we had breakfast in the newly renovated Garden Room. There were lots of options on offer, the food was so fresh and delicious. A great start to our day. Unfortunately it came to the time to check out. We honestly didn't want to leave. To Evelyn, Mike and every staff member we encountered, we want to thank you all from the bottom of our hears for making our celebration SO special. We will be back!!
