Given its location the cleanliness of this hotel is to be commended, there is a fair footfall through it but it is always spotless. Staff are amongst the best and friendliest I have come across in any hotel of any class anywhere I have stayed, the owners should be very proud of them and also themselves for clearly having a nice environment to work. Room was reasonably quiet, it was an adjoining room so there was some noise the the room adjacent but not too much thankfully. It had aircon which is quite noisy but it worked well and they are never quiet anyway. Room in line with the rest of the hotel was spotless. Check in and out was seamless, quick and very pleasant. Like all the staff here there was a ready smile and a greeting. I had to head off to do some work so my wife had some lunch, she didn't eat most of it was only scrambled egg on toast but the egg was way undercooked she told me. Dinner was not great we ate in the Tan Yard, now it was in the middle of the tourist season so you expect busy. But the noise was something else, we were seated right beside the bar and they were doing a roaring trade in cocktails so lots of shaking and what not. People were also banging our chair as they went to the bar to order a drink. The ceiling in that area was very low therefore a lot of trapped noise from the children in the area. One families children spent an inordinate amount of time banging their plate with a spoon. We were nearly shouting to hold a conversation. We asked could we be seated somewhere else as they was a lot of empty tables in other parts of the restaurant, this was accommodated with no fuss thankfully. But read the room why put a couple in their 60's in the middle of holiday making families where there was plenty of quieter alternatives. The food was also not good my starter consisted of 1/4 of a head of lettuce (actually served as a quarter of a head not loose leaves) and what can only be described as crumbs of blue cheese and bacon spread about. Clearly the lettuce was there just to add bulk. I had a salad with my steak, well I had rocket with a few peas, olives and a few shreds of carrot rather than a salad. There was nearly as much rocket on my dinner plate as there was in the salad. People are not stupid we recognise cheap bulking when we see it. Steak was OK but everything else had spoiled any enjoyment of the meal at that stage. I don't know if the restaurant for coach tours was any better but I guess it could not have been much worse, room had higher ceilings at least (it is where breakfast is served) so it would at least would have been of normal noise levels. What was amazing is that breakfast was excellent, really good in fact. How can you get breakfast absolutely perfect but lunch and dinner so bad? To be honest dinner did spoil the weekend stay a little, but if we were staying in Killarney again I would stay here I just would not eat here.

Wonderful hotel with nice amenities and service. Perfect location. We will definitely stay here again next time we go to Killarney.

So enjoyable, from the warm greeting and talk though the experience and treatments over a ginger and orange shot, to guiding us to the thermal pool and then collection later for our individual treaments followed by a fruit smoothie and relaxation to end our time in the spa.

Great hotel with excellent food and service. Staff are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Location is excellent, central to all Killarney has to offer.

A beautiful , peaceful setting Excellent therapist Very reasonable!! Worth the trip After 3 days of golf plus the time traveling to go from New York to Ireland it was a very welcome experience If I had been in Killarney any longer, I would have gone a second time It was that good!
