Location very convenient: stone’s throw from the train station and right in the town centre near the castle and some really nice bars. Their bar also serves good food and is a decent spot for a late night drink. Be aware however, that the front door shuts at 10 and you can only gain access from the buzzer at the adjacent bar and they are quite strict on guest access. If you are a couple make sure to select for 2 when making the booking. Nevertheless the breakfast is extensive, and the rooms comfortable so thumbs up overall.

Perfect location and rooms were lovely. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and the beds were very comfortable. There are definitely some things that could be better. Would let guest know its over bath shower in advance of stay, people have mobility issues and with modern bathrooms assume these things might be accessible but climbing into bath for a shower was not ideal. After a long day driving and touring would be nice to have tv reception in room, it was really bad reception and very few channels to browse. Breakfast ‘hot’ foot was not hot and got even colder with only having cold plates to put the food on to. Toasters are so slow, need to put toast on 10 minutes before rest of food. Iron and table in room would be good. These things wouldn’t put us off staying but they are all things that take away the shine of a nice place.

From when we phoned to book our stay until we say goodbye , we were so well looked after by all the team at every single interaction. The hotel is operated by a very happy team of great people ! Thank you all. The reception staff, restaurant people and bar staff - all super. Would highly recommend this hotel. *****5stars

My second time here, and to be fair, a better experience this time, I like the location, the staff are courteous and professional, the place itself is lovely, the room is spacious and overlooking the leisure centre , the negative points for me were, the lack of choices in terms of bar food , kids options etc, breakfast was prompt and good quality and good selection, overall I feel Kilkenny in general is punching above it's weight in terms of food prices v quality.

A nice hotel located in the middle of town. The restaurant was VERY nice. Not sure about the value because it was part of the tour. Room was nice and clean and employees were helpful. Welcoming atmosphere in lobby area. Tiny elevators though.
