First night room ok cramped
Service and food in restaurant v poor or average at best
Staff not organised
Veg options poor
Second night disaster with rubbish support from reception over repeated complaints about noise from next room
Reception had private mobile number of that guest so something v strange going on.
Follow up by James manager also poor
Expensive for lack of quality and service we received
Owners should be alarmed.

This hotel is on a perfect location in Kilkenny’s city centre. Rooms are clean and hotel overall is immaculate with a great restaurant and bar. There are two staff members that deserve to be commended:. Bosco and Marcos! There was a problem with the heat in my room and they went the extra mile in the middle of the night to move all my stuff and get me settled in a different room. No big deal about changing rooms but these guys were amazing, I’d come back because of them! Stay here and walk everywhere!

what a great hotel, loved the experience, amazing breakfast and staff. Hotel rooms were amazing, surroundings were breathtaking. The streets outside can be a bit loud, but its just backround noise. would recommend. beds are so comfortable

This hotel was a good choice. Great location, close to many bars, restaurants and tourist attractions. The check in was smooth and staff were very friendly. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is a la carte and it was delicious. The bar of the hotel is cool as well, although service is very slow, but the servers are friendly and there’s live music at night. I recommend this hotel.

Beautiful small hotel,.located in perfect spot central to kilkenny Town. Lovely simple classic room. The only problem with the room was that the ceiling fan didn't work, so a small plug-in fan was in the room. This only cooled the space right in front of it. The room was like a sauna all the time we were in the room. We spoke to other guests who said the same. The staff were fantastic, helpful, pleasant and friendly. There is no parking at the hotel so took a mark off for that and heat in the room. There is a car park 2 mins away that cost €15.50 for 24 hour parking. If you stayed longer, the car Park had a discount route you just let the car park staff know. The hotel bar had lovely music the night we stayed, and there are some fantastic pubs near by with great music. The castle is 5 min walk and lovely location. A hotel that would be nice to go back to.

Super location, the bar had a great atmosphere like a REAL pub. The staff were very pleasant and helpful throughout the entire weekend. The room was spotless, well serviced and very comfortable. I will definitely be back. Robert Dublin 11.

This hotel has no business being rated a four star. Shabby, tired, loud and surly staff. Don’t be fooled by pictures or reviews. Small rooms, awful baths and small and tired common areas. Avoid at all costs! There are much better options in town.
