The lodging I stopped by during my Kumano Kodo trip was in a good location, the food was delicious, and the staff was friendly. I would like to go there again if I have the chance.

The food was delicious.
The sashimi was especially fresh, with bonito, coral, squid, tuna,
and sea urchin.
The sea urchin was different from the kind you can buy in stores; it was freshly caught and didn't contain alum, so it was very sweet.
I made a reservation for October and returned.

What a lovely hotel! My room was incredible, it was so comfortable and perfect after a day of hiking. I used the onsen as well which was lovely. Shared bathroom was very clean and nice. This was my favorite place to stay on the path of the Kumano Kodo.

I have eaten spiny lobsters many times in Toba and Shima, but the spiny lobsters here were the biggest. I would like to visit here again just to eat these lobsters.
