Peaceful Cabin in Woods

We enjoyed the privacy of this lovely cabin. It was a nice location to get to Viroqua other small towns around. I appreciated that the property allowed our dogs the ability to let them roam around without fences/people/other pups. The AC was nice on such hot rainy days during our visit. The host was very easy to communicate with before during our stay!I took one star off simply because it was a bit more rustic than the description let on to believe/ could have been cleaner. My family all lives off-grid in rural MT ID, so I'm used to compost toilets not potable water. I was NOT prepared to empty the compost toilet urine tank the first day I was there to it being 3/4 full already with previous guests' bodily fluids - gross. The upstairs loft bed had not been stripped of previous bedding, lots of bugs along the walls that my 9 month old enjoyed finding there was no dish soap for the sink area.

Cute cabin deep in the woods Cabin was very cute and quaint in the woods and a nice place to get away from it all. Please ensure to have the right expectations for the amenities. There is only a sink outside the house (not inside) to wash your hands etc. There is a compost toilet which we never used before, our urine was not 3/4 full so we did not empty it--also it was a bit confusing how to empty the toilet (and where to put the urine?). Despite that had a relaxing stay.

Nice getaway We enjoyed our stay at this cabin! The location was awesome, a good place to unplug and relax away from the city.
