Hotel River Valley

This hotel gives you a feel of a homely yet perfect cozy place in the town. The rooms are simple with a beautiful view of the river and the town along the hillock. The beds are very soft and comfortable. The bathrooms are a little small but very practical. The terrace outside the restaurant is super amazing with the classic view and sounds of a flowing river. The food is decent and the staff is helpful. They even have a small bar where you can enjoy a peach wine with that relaxing sight!

The best part of this hotel is the fantastic views of the city and river valley below. The staff was wonderful as well and very helpful at every instance. The bar is well stocked and buffets were good as well. Since the hotel is isolated on the mountainside, there's not much ability to walk about elsewhere so it's best to stay in. Wifi was generally reliable.

The Hotel is located with a spectacular view of the Mo chu river from the rooms as also the terrace that has seating for diners. Some rooms, like ours # 717, had a view on 3 directions. While the staff are friendly they are not completely trained and some lack English language skills. The two drawbacks which can be easily corrected by the management are firstly, the laundry service does not iron the garments sufficiently and the clothes are poorly folded.It is also quite expensive. Secondly, and more seriously, the 4 meals ( 2 breakfast & 2 dinner) invariably the food ran out. The quality of the food and the selection of the menu could also be greatly improved. These drawbacks notwithstanding, we enjoyed our stay

We were surprised with the appetizing dishes, and the incredible pleasure from a combination of exquisite flavours. NOISE only from the river flowing and the gentle breeze ! Extremely romantic setting ! Moreover, being situated by this river we were surrounded by lush greenery and vibrant flora. The tranquil atmosphere created by this natural environment provided us an escape from our bustling city life and allowed us to unwind completely. The lush greenery, towering mountains, and vibrant flowers created a picturesque setting that left us rejuvenated and connected with nature. Imagine your morning tea on the wide balcony while taking in the scenic river view, there are endless opportunities to sink in the beauty of surroundings. Need minimum 2 nights here ! Come, immerse yourself in this fabulous place and truly feel the power of nature.

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights w a group tour. The property and staff are great. Had a massage which was phenomenal. The hotel also has a very nice gym. The hotel was fully booked which may have accounted for the very spotty and slow wifi. The breakfast and dinner was very average and nothing to write home about. All in all a nice hotel with beautiful river views.

We stayed 2 nights at Rivervalley hotel in Punakha. This is located on the bank of the river with a spectacular view from the deck and rooms. The owner Ms Damcho Zam is a very charming and efficient woman. She saw to it that we were comfortable and also was a store house of informstion about Bhutan. The women in our group were very happy to see the all women staff! The girls are all extremely friendly, efficient and speak multiple languages. The rooms were reasonably spacious and the bed quite comfortable. They served us good Indian food for lunch and dinner. In fact when we went sight seeing and returned hungry at odd hours, they still rustled up good snacks for us. Breakfast was generous an filling. A well stocked bar and the great river view from the large deck took care of all the need to relax and chill in the evenings., Overall a very good 3 star hotel .

I was there with my Swidesh guest, this property has a wonderful view from rooms of Punakha valley as well as the Punachangchu river. Is a very new Hotel, and all staffs are very frank and helpful. I personally very much like it. Highly recommended! Enjoy staying!
