Camped allover Namibia and this was definitely my favorite camping spot and lodge. The road was nerve wrecking exciting and the zipline was the best one ever. Beer was ice cold and with an amazing view of the Vingerklip and almost the whole of Namibia.

You can see the lodge from a distance precariously sitting on top of the cliff. The lodge's 4WD takes you and your luggage up the steep driveway to the top, where you get a delicious welcome drink and then marvel at the view from the terrace. I guess it must be one of the most stunning locations for any lodge. We had a cottage West overlooking the canyon, so were treated to a sensational sunset, whilst relaxing on the bed. The cottage is spacious, with a generous, comfortable bed (the view !!), plenty of space for luggage, a safe and complimentary bottled water. The toilet is separate from the bathroom, which features a large, sit-down rain-shower. The pool is a bit small and quirky, but is is refreshing on a hot day and, again, the view !!! I read bad dinner reviews from other travelers, but I cannot share their comments : our meals were delicious and we thanked the chef after. All genuinely friendly staff too.

der erste Eindruck und die Dachoptik täuscht, sehr gute, originelle und saubere Unterkünfte, gemütliches Restaurant, freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Service und Geschäftsleitung. Der Pool war sauber und klar, das Abendessen sehr gut, Frühstücksbuffet reichhaltig, große Auswahl.

Stanning view on the Ugab Terraces and Vingerklip. From our bed we saw the sunrise. Room clean, comfortable and spacious Good and professional staff. Good cuisine. Beautiful interior design.

L'arrivée dans l'hôtel est vraiment sympa: la montée est assez raide mais très facile en 4x4 (... sur le sec) et la vue depuis la crête est très belle. L'accueil est chaleureux. Les bungalows sont rustiques sans clim et sans isolation: la température sous la tôle au printemps était déjà très élevée. Il faut comprendre que l'on est loin de tout et que cela n'est pas forcement déplaisant (en été c'est peut être beaucoup plus difficile). Cela me rappel Djibouti dans les années 70. L'eau chaude est obtenue au moyen d'un petit foyer (allumé par le personnel) à l'arrière de chaque salle de bain. Le restaurant est tout à fait correct et l'hôtel dispose d'une piscine ce qui est appréciable. L'hôtel donne sur la plaine avec au loin le VINGERKLIP. C'est le calme absolu.

Ugab Terrace Lodge is the perfect place to go to when your mind and soul needs a bit of a rest. The view from the lodge is absolutely breathtaking, especially whilst ziplining and and when the sun is setting. Clean rooms, good food with exceptional friendly and helpful staff.
