I was here several times over 10 years ago during a year-long stay in Asia. For me, the resort was always a Garden of Eden, where I could recharge my batteries because it was simply wonderful in every respect - and still is. The garden has simply become even more lush, there are a few more animals, a huge pig, dogs, cats and birds. The owner Chin and the staff are extremely friendly and uncomplicated, the atmosphere is family-like, which I like as a solo traveler. Let your mind wander. Breakfast and dinner are served in an open room, where you can also meet other guests and chat if you feel like it. And Chin is an excellent cook who spoils you with wonderfully fresh Thai cuisine. There is no menu, the suggestion is what makes it. During the day, a trip in a paddle boat is recommended. But you can also cycle to a (really!) beautiful beach and swim and eat there. A walk through the traditional fishing village is also very interesting. Or you can lie by the pool or in the huge wooden swing with a view of the water, with or without a book. The "rooms" are very different, you can choose either a bungalow with AC or a hut in the mangroves with a fan or just part of a one-story house. Everything is cozy and comfortable, with TV, fridge and kettle, etc. The easiest way is to choose on site or call the owner to make a reservation. I had an incredibly nice time here again and will of course come back.
