Basic, but comfortable and clean. Air con works a treat but is noisy. Didn’t bother us but just in case it would be a deal breaker for other people. Staff helpful and friendly. Sea warm and about 30s walk from our room.
Would definitely stay again if I was ever in the Keys again.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights to snorkel at John Pennekamp before heading to Key West. We weren’t sure what to expect with the mixed reviews but we are so glad we took a chance. We absolutely loved it! We stayed in a queen room and it was perfect. Plenty of room, great bathroom with a full length mirror and even a closet for our luggage. It was 100 degrees outside and our room stayed nice and cool. They do daily housekeeping with fresh towels, without having to be requested. It was great! The whole property is adorable. It has the laid back beach vibes we were wanting in key largo. We swam and snorkeled in the bay and saw some really cool fish. The sunset from the beach area was gorgeous. We stayed in a much fancier hotel in key west and found ourselves missing our little cottage room in key largo. We will definitely be back!

The best hotel we have stayed at in 18 years of traveling as a family! Everything was so clean and the staff were incredibly friendly!! Amenities were great and the sunset is the most beautiful I have ever seen!!

The best for an older couple. After dealing with a hit-and-run accident and a horrible experience in a Miami hotel, your customer service attitude was a breath of fresh air! The room I had booked initially was smaller than I expected. I went to the front desk and explained the problem, and I asked for a larger room. They found one, walked me over to check it out, and told me that it would cost $55 more for two nights. Sold! Beautifully maintained property, great recommendations for three restaurants/bars within 600 feet. A wonderful dock/beach to watch the sunset, fishing, free kayaks, etc. What more could you want? Old school place to visit. Not for Millennials.

We stayed in the waterfront cottage. We were very happy with the room it was just the two of us but could have slept 6. There were two full beds and a king. The beach and docks were right outside our door. The bed was perfect,also the pillows were great! Everything was very clean. The only down side of the room was the bathroom was tiny. But hey who spends that much time in a bathroom anyhow! We will be back!!

These are the worst people all they care about is the money. My wife came down with an illness and they want me to go through a bunch of crap just to deny the refund. I've been coming here for years and 3 to 4 time a year. Thought they cared but they don't all they care about is the money. It's really sad about this and the way the company is handling it. I will be posting alot on other sites and youtube. Rooms: 1/5 | Service: 1/5 | Location: 1/5

Suitable place for our 1 night stay. Our room had a small modern bathroom but the bed took up the entire room. It’s a very small room but that was doable for our 1 night stay. Our room was also located just off the main road but that was not an issue either regarding noise. It offers a nice place to view the sunset with its docks. The staff was also very friendly. Overall, no complaints just a very small room.
