I had a very disappointing and painful stay at the Bungalows. At dinner on our first night, we were seated at a table on the rocky beach area. As soon as I sat down, my chair fell backwards into a hidden hole in the sand, and I landed on the rocky ground. My arm and elbow were badly cut, bloodied, and bruised. Another guest helped me up and said that the exact same thing happened to him in that same chair shortly beforehand. As such, the staff knew that the chair was in a dangerous location but still sat me there. I spoke to the manager, Cynthia Costa, about this incident. Cynthia was shockingly rude, unapologetic, and cold. She blamed the incident on unpredictable nature of the sandy ground and did not offer anything to make things right. I asked her for my wife and I’s spa treatments to be comped in consideration of the incident. She offered to comp just half of the spa treatments, which I found unacceptable. She claimed that the owner would need to approve a full refund of the spa costs. I asked her to speak with the owner about it, but I never heard from her again. Aside from this horrible experience, the resort is generally overpriced and understaffed. Most of the staff are very friendly and the grounds are pretty. However, the food quality is poor, there is a lack of staffing, and the amenities are lacking. It is not worth the hefty price.
