I recently enjoyed a relaxing stay at Barton Hall. The grounds are beautiful, and the spa was a highlight, especially in the sunshine.
However, the breakfast was disappointing. The English breakfast options were too salty, and the juice tasted synthetic, making it poor value for money.
The staff were somewhat strict about the rules for accessing the spa, which felt a bit excessive. Despite this, they were generally helpful and courteous.
Overall, a nice stay with lovely surroundings, but some improvements needed in breakfast quality and staff approach.

As a former employee for the company as a guest they went above and beyond for mine and my new wife! A special shoutout to the team who made our day very special indeed! Aaron who went above and beyond for us helping us even when he wasn’t working that day still made the time and effort for us! Shelley and Ivana you was amazing through out the whole thing making sure everything was perfect and it was more than perfect! Kitchen team to all the chefs all I’ve heard is how good the food was from everyone so am very grateful for the whole experience would recommend any day

I booked a night for some R&R. Unfortunately, there was a wedding on and the music was loud until late at night and bottles were being thrown away right outside my room. So check if there’s an event on, otherwise you’re just staying alongside a big group party. The room itself was beautiful& the staff are so kind, so I decided to give it another go and book to stay with friends and use the spa facilities. However, before checking in you have no idea if the facilities will be available and it’s not guaranteed. We were told to guarantee it that we’d need to book with the spa for extra money. We chose to cancel and book at a spa hotel who include access in their rate, at the same cost. In the up side, the grounds are beautiful and it was very clean. However, I won’t choose to go again.

We couldn’t have been better looked after! Every member of staff was cheerful, helpful and willing to go the extra mile to give excellent service. The rooms were really comfortable and beautifully clean. The food was so good we’d have happily kidnapped all the kitchen staff. The garden spa was welcoming and well looked after. So fabulous to have an outdoors pool/jacuzzi in October. We will definitely stay here again.

We popped in for lunch. Opted for the “smaller plates” which were more than enough for us. Gin, juniper and lemon salmon gravadlax and honey, bbq sesame chicken and shared a side order of skinny fries. Desserts- orange crème brûlée and cherry chocolate delice. The service was excellent and food very well presented. My only one gripe is - this is a lovely venue, fresh flowers on the tables, stylish crockery and glassware etc. Perhaps give some thought to not serving condiments in their bottles. You ask for mayo - you get a bottle of Heinz plonked on the table, ours still had the seal on it. Surely a venue like this could purchase some nice condiment dishes?

What can I say about Barton Hall, I simply do not have enough superlatives to do it justice. My wife and I have recently celebrated our Golden Wedding Anniversary and renewed our vows at this amazing location. Shelley Farmer carried out a simply perfect event for us both, absolutely nothing was too much trouble for the superb staff that are employed there, they are total professionals. The Orangery is a delightful setting for the ceremony, the grounds are superb for photographs etc., and the Charles Suite is perfect for the reception. We know that Shelley worked extremely hard in making sure every detail was covered off, the rest off the staff, worked just as hard, Aaron Marshall, Josh, Ethan, Lilly, Maggie, Ivana, to name just a few. We just can't thank the team here enough who have made a very special day even more memorable

First impressions were good, the outside looks immaculate. The staff at the reception were very polite and helpful at all times. We had room Number 1 which was bright, fresh and quite spacious. The bathroom was also bright and large space too. We ate in the bar but only bar snacks as we were attending a wedding reception at Wicksteed Pavilion for the night. This was a 10 minute walk but a little longer coming back, as a little bit of alcohol was consumed by yours truly. This is a pleasant Hotel and Spa and it appeared to be busy this weekend. Thoroughly recommend this place. The bed was comfortable to say the least.

We went to Sunday Lunch with friends. We were greeted by Maggie with a very warm welcome. Staff were lovely Joshua at The Bar. Lee and Lucy our waitress with whom we had some great conversations. Then the food arrived which was delicious. Would definitely recommend BARTON HOTEL and definitely returning in the near future. To All. THANK YOU.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ WOW, absolutely flawless. The welcome we had was incredible, all of the team were , friendly, funny and very very attentive. The bar staff, the events team, the spa staff made our stay so memorable. We have been lucky enough to travel the world and have experienced the best hospitality whilst doing so. The experience here was right up there with the best. Joanne at the spa was such a delight l. Her smile brightened our day and could not have been more helpful.
