I had a wonderful stay at The Landing! This was my first trip to Ketchikan and I selected the hotel based on a recommendation from the fishing charter. I'm happy to have picked The Landing for a few reasons: + Comfy and quiet: The rooms are very comfortable and it was nicely quiet at night, which I really appreciated! The bed and pillows are super comfy and I found the room spacious (double queen). The Kerig coffee maker was much appreciated and I liked having a fridge and microwave in the room. + Diner and restaurant: While I didn't try the upstairs restaurant, I had breakfast at the downstairs diner. The diner has a great vibe and really good food. The staff were friendly, chatty and REALLY hard working. My coffee cup never got past half full ! + Location: While it's a few miles from the downtown action, it's very close to the airport ferry. Also, there's a nice market within a two minute walk. They have a great selection of goods and produce along with a coffee and deli bar. I liked being able to grab some fresh fruit, healthy snacks, bottled water etc for the room so I didn't have to eat out every time. + Shuttle: The hotel has a free shuttle to take you pretty much anywhere in the city. I used the shuttle several times and it was so helpful. The drivers are wonderful and very giving of tips, ideas, places to go, things to see, where to eat etc. + The staff: Finally, the entire hotel staff is **great**! They were helpful and patient to answer all of my novice questions. While I had no issues during my stay, I believe the staff would bend over backwards to make it right. I had a great trip and plan to be back very soon for another fishing trip!
