First of all, the area is not touristy and you have to adapt a bit, the hotel itself is very nice and the rooms are large and clean. The mattresses are a bit old but you can still sleep well. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. Sad dinner like a school canteen (and yet they cook delicious typical Toraja dishes a la carte) with terrible live music. Huge pool but with an abandoned look, a couple of old sunbeds and that's it. Few small hand dryers in the room. We ran out of toilet paper and it took them 20 minutes to find a roll. Very uncomfortable chairs on the terrace for tall people, perhaps suitable for locals. I think that without spending a lot, simply by putting a few more flowers and sunbeds, two more towels in the rooms and a more typical menu you would get 4 stars. The few tourists who come to Tana Toraja in my opinion have all those 10 or 20 dollars more a night to spend to feel a little better! Think about it...
