The hotel at first glance is very nice and has a nice bar and restaurant. At the entrance there are typical Sulawesi buildings and at the end a large swimming pool. The rooms are quite nice but there are many defects such as the water that doesn't flow very well, the sink half broken, few switches, the television that doesn't pick up channels and wi-fi that works intermittently. First of all, the area is not touristy and you have to adapt a bit, the hotel itself is very nice and the rooms are large and clean. The mattresses are a bit old but you can still sleep well. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. Sad dinner like a school canteen (and yet they cook delicious typical Toraja dishes a la carte) with terrible live music. Huge pool but with an abandoned look, a couple of old sunbeds and that's it. Few small hand dryers in the room. We ran out of toilet paper and it took them 20 minutes to find a roll. Very uncomfortable chairs on the terrace for tall people, perhaps suitable for locals. I think that without spending a lot, simply by putting a few more flowers and sunbeds, two more towels in the rooms and a more typical menu you would get 4 stars. The few tourists who come to Tana Toraja in my opinion have all those 10 or 20 dollars more a night to spend to feel a little better! Think about it...

Nice welcome in a nice hall. Pleasant and attentive staff. Nice garden with typical buildings of the Toraja country. On the pool side, it does not seem very clean especially since children swim there dressed. On the room side could be better, a little old and poorly soundproofed. Pale light or even ineffective for reading in bed. Comfortable bedding, Note a garage opposite the hotel very annoying making engines roar. morning view from the hotel when the sky is bright is beautiful. The bed and pillow arent comfortable but the room is huge with a big bath room, big mirror and wardrobe area. The tv channel didnt work but the wifi was OK, so I was saved. Most of the guests are foreigner.

The Toraja Misiliana Hotel is very spacious. The rooms are clean but everything is quite dated. The hotel is conveniently located for activities in this special region. The breakfast is good. In the hotel you have the opportunity for a drink at the bar. Employees are helpful and hospitable.

it definitely has a cool ambience with the Tongkanen traditional buildings and mountains in background. Wi-Fi was strong ( important in middle of nowhere). I would give the breakfast buffet a 7/10. Bar area was nice. Nice pool area for kids. Things to improve on 1. Information. I was told I could have dinner in the restaurant at 7 PM only to be told at 7 PM that they had a special group there and I couldn’t eat there. 2. Checking the bedroom before your guest gets there. The toilet was loud and was running all night. 3. Checking the electrical. One light took 10 minutes to come on and then on the second night 75% of the outlets didn’t work for charging my phone. Just doing simple room maintenance occasionally would help. 4. Making simple adjustments. There is a little bit of a crack underneath the entrance door, and when I came back the first night, there was a giant slug that had gotten in which was kind of gross but at the same time I realize I’m out in the jungle. However, this wouldn’t happen if the door was fitted properly. Obviously, I know what to expect because the hotel is out in the middle of Tana Toraja but it could improve on a few things
