If you stay in Hotel zur Wasserburg you have to visit the castle, it's only a five minute walk. The castle was built in the 14th century and it is surrounded by a beautiful park. Today it's a place to celebrate. You can visit the castle the whole year, but the perfect time is spring.

Het hotel is een typisch Duits landhotel. Tijdens ons verblijf was er ook een hoop gasten die van elders kwamen en in de regio aan het werk waren. Het hotel heeft geen restaurant en bar. Wel staat er in de lobby een grote koelkast waaruit tegen betaling diverse drankjes kunnen worden gepakt. De kamer was zeer ruim, met een aparte hal, ruime badkamer en een riant bed. De kussens waren helaas verschrikkelijk slap! Vermijd wel de kamers aan de straatkant op de begane grond, tenzij je graag vroeg gewekt wordt. Het ontbijt was beperkt, de meest hoofdzakelijke zaken waren aanwezig incl. vers fruit.

Sehr gemütliches Hotel. Essen und Abendessen waren sehr lecker und gut. Zimmer war auch sehr schön und groß. Es gab auch ein Teich im kleinen Garten. Kann ich nur empfehlen. Inhaber war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Check in ging ganz schnell und einfach

Hotel is a few kilometres outside of Kerpen and is located in a very dull looking village, but the hotel itself is very pleasant inside. A great overnight stopover. After a long days drive the rooms window shutters provided a complete black-out ensuring areat nights sleep. Really friendly hosts and staff combined with a nice clean, comfortable room with wi-fi. There was a well stocked vending machine contained snacks and drinks far cheaper than those found in nearby bars. Superb buffet breakfast and great coffee. No hesitation in stopping over again in the future.

Es war mein zweiter Aufenthalt hier. Das Nebengebäude hat relativ neue Zimmer, es ist alles da was man braucht. Abends kann man gemütlich draußen sitzen und ein Bierchen trinken (Kühlschrank). Das Frühstück ist aufgrund von corona noch etwas stressig (man bekommt alles an den tisch), ist aber trotzdem alles da wa an braucht. Komme gerne wieder
