Never again – this hotel is not worth 4 stars! Hotel Michelangelo in Corfu was a complete disappointment and has nothing to do with a true 4-star hotel. On the first nigh

My Daughter and I have just returned from a 5 night holiday at the Michelangelo Resort and we wish we were still there. We chose this hotel as it we were looking for a relaxing break but not too quiet and that was what we got. We read the reviews and although it classes itself as a 4*, Easyjet Holidays rated it as a 3* so we didn't expect anything more. Although, I would say the friendliness we received was 5* We had a lovely room overlooking the Tortoises which was an added bonus. The room was spacious with a double and single bed for us. The room may have been a little outdated but it was cleaned to a high standard with fresh towels and bedding changed 3 times during our 5 night stay. The room also had AC and a small fridge. On our last day we didn't need to leave the hotel until 7pm so we asked at Reception if it was possible to keep our room later, and to our surprise we were able to keep the room until 6pm for just 30 euros. (please note that recpetion only wanted cash for the tourist tax and for our late check out) There is an atm just a 3 min walk up the road if you need any cash during your stay. On two of our evenings we took the walk into Kassiopi Town after dinner. It only took us 10 mins. Once on the main road there is a pavement all the way. The town is lovely with many shops, cafes and bars. It has a picturesque harbour with views of the Albanian coast in the distance. On both evenings we ended up in Illusions Bar (not to be confused with Illusions Kitchen Bar, although that did look like a lovely place to eat overlooking the harbour) Illusions bar was lively with a variety of sports chanels being shown. They had quizzes and Karaoke nightly and plenty of dancing. The staff were friendly and it's open till late. Definitely a bar for all the family. In the write up of the hotel it mentioned entertainment and listed several sports available but it did not mention that there would be 2 resident entertainment guys, Rodrigo and Jodi (Hello :) ) who laid on activities 6 days a week ranging from Yoga, Aqua aerobics, Water Polo,Water Vollyeball, Table Tennis, Boules, Darts etc. They are a credit to the hotel and got you up participating in the activities but left you alone if you just wanted to relax. Music was played at the main pool but you could choose one of the smaller pools if you wanted to relax in peace and quiet. They also held a mini disco for the little ones in the evening and then held Quiz nights, Karaoke, BIngo by the pool later. They deinitely made our stay more enjoyable! Christos behind the bar and all the restaurant staff were polite and friendly and worked really hard all day. The food in the buffet restaurant was fine, a little repetitive but we always found somthing we liked, again we had not paid for a 5* hotel. A special mention has to go out to the young lady who made all of the desserts for lunch and dinner, they were delicious. Very talented. At lunch time we mainly chose to eat from the snack bar rather than

Jodi and Rodrigo were great entertainment and lovely people. Great location around a 15 minute walk to Kassiopi and a 1 hour 30 minute bus ride into Corfu town. Food was good just repetitive & not a wide variety so we give 4 stars. Would return to Kassiopi. Hotel room was good and clean. No one appeared to be hogging subbed either which was great!

Just returned from a fantastic 11 day day holiday at this hotel. Hotel was lovely, clean, food and drink really good, could always find something nice to eat. Staff were really friendly and the entertainment team Jodi and Rodrigo were brilliant fun, made it extra special. Weather was beautiful. Missing it already and can’t wait to go back!

Although the resort is about an hour’s drive from Corfu Town, its location is strategic for exploring the many beaches and coves in the northern and central parts of the island. If you're planning to move around a lot, I highly recommend renting your own vehicle. Scooters and quads are convenient, but even a small car is easy to park, both around the island and at the resort, which has its own parking area. For longer stays, the on-site laundry service is quite pricey (18€ per load), so it's more cost-effective to use a self-service laundry outside the resort. The rooms are fairly basic — a bit dated, but equipped with air conditioning and a small fridge, which is handy for short stays in summer. The restaurant serves buffet meals with generous breakfasts. However, dinner might be a bit underwhelming, especially for Italian guests. One downside was the unexpected deactivation of the beverage dispenser, with drinks becoming available only for an extra charge in the evening. That said, the young dining staff were always polite and efficient. The swimming pools are a nice option for a quick dip when you don’t feel like heading to the beach. A major downside was the lack of professionalism at the front desk. One morning, we found our rental car’s battery dead. Instead of contacting the rental agency — which would have taken over an hour — we asked reception if they could lend us jumper cables or send someone from maintenance. The answer was a blunt “call the rental company, we can’t help.” Luckily, a resort staff member named Kranar came to our rescue: he brought over his van, helped us recharge the battery, and even got the car started with a push. Thanks to him, we avoided losing an entire vacation day. We’re truly grateful for his help.

Not a 4* by any means! Postives: Some staff members were pleasant - especially the entertainment team. Negatives: Rooms basic - had to change rooms 4 times due to problems with the room/Aircon. The pool area is very dangerous with loose tiles and exposed wires everywhere. On the first night, the staff were chasing a large rat round the main pool/eating area. Food: Awful honestly. We understand that all-inclusive can be fairly basic and repetitive. However, the food was very bad, cold, and not labeled. The staff didn't know what half the dishes were. When I asked one night about the soup, the cook advised me he would have to look at the tin it came in as they couldn't remember! We ate out most nights in Kassopi! Reception staff: The blonde girl was lovely, brunette was so unhelpful and looked as if she didn't want to be there or do anything. We encountered a few incidents where even the other staff members were fed up with her! Manager - In all my life I have never seen a more useless manager. He showed up at random points during the day wearing a T-shirt and cargo shorts. He even walked around the dining hall like that without a care in the world, despite the numerous complaints they we've receiving. In our opinion, it is more like a 2* at best. No gym or sauna - when we asked about the other facilities we were told it wasn't the summer period yet, and it started in August! We came in late June, so we honestly found this shocking! High turn over of staff so no one seemed to know what they were doing - not necessarily the staff's fault but generally bad/poor management. Would we come again? To Kassopi - Absolutely - to this hotel - never! Sorry this needs alot of money spent on it to be in a fit condition, and I am honestly shocked that Tui backed this hotel. Please think before booking!

Enjoyed our week stay. Room was a tad basic but had everything we needed. Room was cleaned everyday with fresh towels. All areas of the resort were constantly cleaned. All staff were lovely and attentive. Food was plentiful a little repetitive but tasty. Set just a short walk into town which was perfect to stroll down to and check out the port, beach and tavernas.

They advertise theirselves as 4 ☆☆☆☆ however I would say barely 3 ☆☆☆. Hotel and pool were clean but look dated and in need of tlc nothing too drastic. Our main disappointment was the restaurant buffet, probably the smallest we have been to. The choice on offer was limited and very repetitive, although what we did have was cooked well and fresh. Our room was in a block of apartments to the side of the pool and must say was very nice and modern with a great balcony looking out to the olive trees behind the hotel. Room was cleaned regularly and to a high standard by our lovely cleaning lady. On the whole staff were friendly and polite but special mention to Christos (aka Rick Astley) who manages the bar and the star of the entertainment staff Jodi who works tirelessly always with a smile and a joke to keep everyone happy 😊 top man 👍
