The Palms Apartments

First impression of our apartment was WOW! Bed was huge and amazingly comfortable. However I had a lovely bath but when it emptied the bathroom sink filled up with disgusting foul smelling water. I just put the plug in when I had my next bath but that needs addressing. The reception staff were so lovely and good ambassadors for the apartments. We made an error in booking initially but it was amended by the staff but our room was not serviced at all during our 6 night stay?? But on the whole I would stay there again as it was nice and central for everything. Although i think I would park on the street again as $20 dollars per day was quite a lot to pay for parking in the small covered Apartments car park.

Great little apartment close to the city. Clean and tidy. 2Bed 2Bath was very spacious, bedroom was big enough to comfortably fit a travel cot next to the king-sized bed and living room easily fitted all of us at once. Kitchen has all the basic requirements for a short stay, we only really made basic meals as there was lots of great places to eat within walking distance. We had a limited view apartment, but nice to be able to open up the doors for fresh air and hear the monkey's at the zoo in the early morning. The only real negative was the aircon is only in the living space, not in the bedrooms. On a 40oC day the aircon only just kept the living room cool, the bedrooms were very hot even with the provided pedestal fans running. It was made even worse by needing to close the bedroom when the little one went to bed as the overhead lights are right outside the bedroom door making it quite bright when left open. Something to consider for those travelling over the warmer months.
