Wyndham Garden Kenosha Harborside

Excellent Hotel, great value for the cost especially the Harbor view rooms. Comfortable bed, room was clean. Staff was helpful and friendly. Has a basic bar and a restaurant which we did not try. Coffee shop, restaurants within a couple blocks walk. Would stay here again. Several parks close as well.

They wouldn’t let us check in early which is fine but then when we went to check in there was a line of people and it took over 20 minutes. We didn’t have a lakeside view room which I booked. The beds are rock hard and the walls are paper thin. Don’t come here expecting to get a good sleep. The only positive is the hotel is close to the beach.

When i am travelling to Kenosha I always stay at this hotel. It's always my first choice. The rooms are clean, and staff is great, and housekeeping is always good with their work, I always like the room view and everything is in the walking distance no issue. I always tell others when coming to kenosha stay here on the lake is a great quiet place.

Stayed 3 days and nights, our stay was ruined by not being able to get any proper sleep as we had no working A/C in our room. Reported it 3 or 4 times, but it made no difference to them, it was not fixed until the morning we checked out. We did receive a discount, but no explanation as to why we had been ignored and nothing was done to fix it, nor even a simple apology.

---The short version--- I have stayed in scores and scores of hotels from San Diego to Philadelphia to Miami to Seattle. The Wyndham Garden Kenosha Harborside is the second worst, besting only Motel 6 (don't ask!) There are only a couple pros, with virtually nothing done well. I do not recommend and will not be coming back. ---The long version is TOO LONG for this box to hold, so here is the PARTIAL LIST of issues--- * Upon arrival, I had to call twice to receive the missing desk chair, which turned out to be so uncomfortable that I cannot sit and work for more than an hour. * The closet had only *TWO* hangers (for a week of professional dress for two guests), and I waited several hours to receive more after requested. * Neither main door nor closet doors would close without slamming - the closet door knob fell off in my hand * The large bedroom has just one side chair (doesn't a king room often have two occupants??). It is grossly stained (I literally will not sit on it without first covering it with a towel) and is so low that, as an average height individual, I can't see the bay over the high window sill (what is the point of the view, then?). * If the low chair were (maybe?) for accessibility, why are the light switches ABOVE my shoulder? * Okay bed, four hard pillows - all the same, no variation in hardness available * No backup blanket in tiny closet * Big stains on doorway * Broken handle to pull drapes laying in window frame * Ice service tray handle broken * Mismatched ice bucket lid does not fit (slides right off) * TV remote volume buttons very hard to get to work * Tiny bathroom with very old tub and sink/vanity with no counter space * Torn chunks of blue painters tape on ceiling and on shower rod * No plugs in sink or tub drains (don't drop anything!) * Mildewing rubber tub drain plug * Lukewarm "hot" water * Shower head covered in mineral deposits couldn't get a decent hard volume of water to shower * Fought and fought to get shower curtain to contain water, but instead it floods the floor - as has obviously been happening to many guests for years based on the mildewed and cracked and raised floor, walls, and grout/caulking. * Loose handicap bar - I almost fell when it moved in my hand the first time I thought to use it for support stepping over the tub side * Sandpaper towels barely big enough to wrap around me (again, average size) * No daily room service - had to take fresh towels from housekeeping cart going by, and remove used towels to laundry chute and full garbage to lobby garbage can myself * Only de-caf coffee pods available for in-room non-Keurig coffee maker ("we're waiting on an order") * The laminate throughout the entire large entry vestibule and all hallways is rippled very badly across the entire surface with some edges/ends raised/warped badly enough to catch a toe on (that lawsuit will cost them the price of new floors) * Only two ice machines in four story hotel * Very poor breakfast - no coffee (had to wait over
