I wish I had more time to enjoy the resort. I was there for an overnight place to sleep and only spent 8 hours in the room (11pm to 7am). It was quiet, but it was preseason.
Breakfast was available, but we left before serving time at 7am.
My only complaint was I couldn't get the AC to operate. The room was 75 F, was too warm to sleep. The day was warm, the night cooled down quickly. Opening the screened window and the door to the balcony did cool the room down to an acceptable level, but had to close the door. I could have sought out help, but do to the late hour, we didn't contact the front desk for assistance, which , I'm sure, would have corrected the problem as the check-in earlier that day was very welcoming. (Room 107-upper level if I remember correctly.
Since I visit my niece every few months, I definitely plan to book at this resort again.

The place itself is awesome, staff is amazing and friendly. My room was 'clean' (i.e. the bed sheets were changed) but it smelled awful!! Of either the person who had the room before me or the person who cleaned. No towels for showering either, just the bathmat.

Although it's not luxurious, the Rhumb Line is a very pleasant and comfortable accommodation at an excellent price. We've stayed there several times over the years, starting back in the early 1990s with our then young kids. It's only a one-mile walk to the shore road at Walker's Point and another mile or so walk or ride to Dock Square in Kennebunkport proper. Although the furnishings in the room were well-used, everything was very clean and the beds quite comfortable. The staff are very friendly, and the continental breakfast, though basic, is a welcome way to start the day. The Rumb Line is a great starting point for excursions to Cape Porpoise, Goose Rocks Beach and the Maine Audubon East Point Sanctuary in Biddeford Pool. And the take-out sandwiches and prepared dishes at Cape Porpoise Kitchen, less than a mile away, are outstanding.

Property needed some updates and repairs but everything was functioning and very clean. The pool and hot tubs were nice and the staff was very nice.

Love the Rhumb Line
Family friendly. Yes, it could use a remodel, but then the prices wouldn’t remain the lowest in the Port. The pool and outdoor bar is fantastic in the summer. The outdoor hot tub is great anytime.
