Fabulous budget hotel! Friendly manager, newly refurbished (just one or two floor coverings awaiting replacement once all the other works are finished), extremely clean, very comfortable bed, hot shower with soft fluffy towels, new air conditioning units recently installed in the rooms. Despite reading mixed reviews on TripAdvisor, I booked due to the price, free parking (just leave registration number at Reception) and easy on-site EV charging and had no complaints at all. No food available currently (except possibly breakfast by prior arrangement), but there’s a Shell garage close by for sandwiches and snacks. The EV chargers are tethered InstaVolt fast chargers (see ZapMap), so the cost per kWh is extremely high. There’s no socket to plug in a Type 2 cable for older EV cars, but these are available at the next hotel up the road, subject to parking restrictions.

The hotel looks empty with closed sign on door. No facilities. Only went to use the EV chargers in their car park. Says free 1 hour. But you still have to pay £4.00 to park. Instavolt should ashamed to be associated with this hotel. People are being hammered with parking fines to charge EVs

Dreadful. Booked some months ago for four nights. Arranged to meet friends there for a meal and drinks but the restaurant and bar had closed down, presumably for some time. No breakfast available during the stay which was offered as available at additional cost when booked. No food or evening drinks etc as offered on the web site. No on site reception service. Room service on alternate days. It is just a sad ex hotel with rooms next to a run down building site.

Visited the hotel on my way down to Cornwall before Christmas, the hotel manager Luca was really friendly and helpful. Please be aware of the parking charges if using the hotel or car charging facility.

Stopped to charge the electric car, stayed in the car while it was charging for 45 minutes. Week later got a bill for £60 for parking without registering. Parking is free. So very bad experience. I wouldn’t ever consider using the hotel or the charging again or any of the OYO group.

Perfect road side location on the long drive into Devon or Cornwall. I was able to park up and within minutes be shown to my room. Wifi, tea facilities, air con and shower all working fine and as expected. The onsite restaurant was also perfect for someone in the need of a good meal. I was served in under 10 minutes and a fantastic meal for under £20. The service was excellent and the onsite manager friendly and happy to help. Would recommend.

Absolutely stunning food and service! Owner is a lovely kind gentleman always trying to give top class service! Highly recommend. We will be back! Exceptional homemade fresh food of a traditional Italian standard! Top marks for all areas.
