Motel 6 Kelso, WA - Mt. St. Helens

Last week I was visited this hotel with my wife. their food and service were amazing. Nice environment. I was satisfied I will come to this hotel again. The menu unfolded like a well-composed sonata. Each dish seemed to tell a story—a tale of ingredients carefully sourced, flavors meticulously balanced, and techniques honed to perfection. We started with the Wild Mushroom Risotto, a creamy concoction that transported us to the heart of an Italian forest. The earthiness of the mushrooms danced harmoniously with the Arborio rice, leaving us craving more.

Horrible experience, sink splatters all over, sink didn't drain, floor sticky, loud. Stairs are so steep almost fell carrying up luggage. Very Noisy, in poor condition. TV didn't work. Needed ground floor and couldn't get.

If you are unfamiliar with the area this hotel is close to impossible to find from the town centre. In reality it it right next to I5, 40 miles north of Portland. Rooms are simple but adequate and the front desk staff welcoming and helpful. The rooms were clean. There are several places to eat within walking distance.

Decided not to stay… The reviews were too horrible… I was planning on staying there for a week but I was too disappointed by the reviews .. I was looking for a nice quiet place but apparently next to the freeway and the fact that they didn’t do maintenance on stuff that had problems was enough for me to not stay

Two story property that is easy on and off to Hwy 5. Jack-in-the-Box and Starbucks within walking distance. Other eating places, grocery store and gas station short drive. Had room on backside and it was quiet. Didn’t use pool at Property but looked clean and maintained. Laminate floor with refrigerator and shower. Room configuration a little different as bed is against wall. Definitely wasn’t horrible, a good coat of paint on walls, reglazing shower and new bedding would do a lot. If you travel with dog or cat they are allowed.

The room was tiny. You had your choice of a bed against the wall, or against the air conditioning unit. The beds were old, worn, and extremely uncomfortable. The a/c barely worked, so I spent half the night sweating. There were blood stains on one of the pillows. In the middle of the night, we had someone open our door. Thankfully, I had the safety lock on. I called the front desk, and she apologized saying they had the room marked as empty. An apology doesn’t cut it when someone comes in my room in the middle of the night while I am here with my two kids. I have never stayed at a motel 6 before, and never will again. I chose this place based off positive reviews, convenience, and price. We were coming through late, and just needed a clean place to sleep before getting on the road early the next morning. I don’t know how this place had so many good reviews because this place is a dump!
