Leeming Wells

Nice hotel Booked a room for one night as a business traveller. Very happy with this hotel, and had no complaints.

Lovely Hotel, not the best service The hotel is in a nice location and the rooms are comfortable (although noise does carry through the walls easily). I received an email that I wouldnt be able to use the pool unsupervised as I was alone with my young daughter which was a disappointment. There was never any staff present except for in the pub next door which was a little difficult to navigate to in the rain down a set of very slippery stairs with no railing and a babe in arms. I had pre-paid for breakfast which was 8-9am. I was asked to hand in a form with my preferences for breakfast but as i was back from my dinner in another town quite late, I didnt want to chance carrying my daughter down the wet steps in the dark. There was no area at reception to drop it off and no staff anywhere in the hotel ever to be seen. I arrived the next morning early for breakfast in the hopes i could order and wait (there were not many guests) and i was made to feel as though this was a lot of trouble despite apologising and assuring them i could wait (and again, i had pre-paid with my stay so a quick check would have told them I would be having breakfast). We didnt receive juice or condiments and i was hesitant to ask after the cold welcome and lack of understanding. This and the lack of help in regard to opening doors near the car park to bring in luggage (which i found out existed when the kind cleaner let me out the back way on check out) really took a lot of the joy out of the stay. Not suitable for little ones.

We enjoyed a really pleasant one night stay here at Leeming Wells, which is close to Haworth and only 30 minutes or so from Bolton Abbey station, where we had breakfast on a steam train. Pre-stay communications with the hotel were first class and very efficient; the personal touch of a telephone call added to the 'welcome'. Room was sizeable and very comfortable with all the facilities you might need. We had the pool and sauna to ourselves for half an hour pre-dinner which was also very nice. All in all, a very freindly and accommodating hotel with great facilities, excellent views and lovely team members.

I used this property to visit family in the area we went self catering it was very quiet in feb had the sauna and pool to ourselves all the cooking utensils were more than adequate small kichen dining room and spiral staircase to loft bedroom with low beams very warm and cozy would definitely use again out of season

No pool Disappointing. I chose this hotel because it had a pool & sauna. On arrival we were told we could not use the pool or sauna because of a fault with a pump. I asked for a partial refund to compensate for this but it was declined.

Arrived during heavy snow with absolutely no attempt to clear access to the accommodation. We were warned in advance that the foot path was uncleared. However this footpath was a set of steep stone steps. Although the car park had been cleared it was very difficult to transport luggage via steep steps with deep snow and an icy hand rail. The heating unit out side kept us awake all night and we were charged twice for breakfast . The room was clean. Breakfast was in the pub next door and was first class. We also ate our evening meal there with our guests the previous evening. There were a lot of people in the pub given the weather as the Landlord had ensured every one’s safety unlike the accommodation. A good nights rest it was not, mainly due to the constant drone of a heating unit outside our room. Tip: lovely location but not when heating is required which is probably most of the time.
