Fantastic tranquil retreat about and hour and a half outside of Kandy. Set in gorgeous rolling hillside it really is a fantastic place to stay. The food was really lovely and the staff were amazing. Thank you for the foot massage on arrival and the really interesting guided walk. A peaceful place to recharge.

Beautiful setting; delicious food; great service; and a wonderfully warm welcome from hosts Farzana and Neil. The view every morning from our bedroom across the gardens to the mist-drenched hills in the distance was joyful.The perfect start to our Sri Lankan adventure.

Stunning in every way! The warm welcome and wonderful foot massage on arrival, the views and wildlife are amazing and so were all the team and property! We stayed in the Cinnamon room which was beautiful and part of the house but the lodges with the views looked spectacular and if we went back would pay more for one of them. Loved the complimentary early morning yoga and the bird watching and nature trail with Pasan was excellent and so informative and we saw so many birds there. The food and service were exceptional nothing too much trouble and we enjoyed the cookery lesson and hopefully it will inspire my husband one day. I will be highly recommending this to my friends when visiting Sri Lanka it is worth going out of the way to stay there. Highly recommend!

Rosyth is an absolutely wonderful place to spend a few nights with the family. Neil and Farzana welcomed us like long-lost friends and we felt at home straight away. The tour of the estate, learning about rubber tapping and seeing birds and spices growing was a fantastic experience for the kids. The small tea factory is also a great activity. The whole team provided top notch service and care. Would be delighted to return.

This place if nothing short of exemplary. Oozing luxury from the moment you’re greeted with a foot massage and a refreshing iced tea made from the tea that’s grown and harvested on the land. The room (cinnamon)- stunning. Huge comfortable bed, great shower, tastefully decorated- everything you need for a comfortable stay. The food- a seamless marriage between rustic Sri-lankan cooking and fine dining. Starters and desserts are sandwiched either side of a great selection of small Sri- lankan style dishes that are changed each night. Nice wine list and cocktails also. Breakfast was a delight- a choice between Sri Lankan or English, either served after a tasty selection of local fruit and a sweet yoghurt treat, alongside tea from the estate. The service- staff couldn’t do enough for you, polite and efficient at every encounter. There are some really special members of staff here, you can tell they love their job and believe in the dna of Rosyth. The owner are the perfect hosts too, on hand to advise on further travels and fill you in on the history of the place. Would we return? Absolutely. I don’t think I could return to this country without giving this place a few nights of my time. Thanks again.

Loved this place, lovely rooms, dotted over the estate. Enjoyed drinks with owners in the Rock Villa which had amazing views over the plantation. The food was amazing. We had a tasting menu both nights with traditional Sri Lanken food, which was a good way to sample different things. The pool area is nice, plenty of loungers and good entertainment watching the monkeys swinging through the trees. Our main reason for staying here was to visit the Elephant Freedom project but I wish we had stayed longer.

We absolutely loved our stay at Rosyth. One of those place that make a difference when you are a traveller. Beautiful place, wonderful Food, excellent stuff and hosts. Farzana was so helpful even before our stay, her valueble advice made our entire Sri lanka trip perfect ! Do not miss this place ! so magic.
