Booked a brief 6-hour overnight stay to catch a few hours sleep & a shower between long flight days, was worth every penny. Got in just after midnight in late June & took a pic of the ocean from my balcony, beautiful! Everything was clean, comfortable, & the staff very nice & accommodating. Hotel only a couple of miles from the airport.

Non abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel, in quanto nonostante la nostra corretta prenotazione, l hotel l ha inspiegabilmente cancellata. Siamo arrivati alle 2 di notte, (orario che per altro avevo chiaramente specificato in fase di prenotazione), e la proprietaria ci ha semplicemente detto che l hotel era al completo, e che non poteva farci niente. Oltretutto, tutti gli hotel a Keflavik erano al completo, e avremmo duvuto dormire in terra in areoporto, se non fosse stato per un gentile tassista che ha contattato un amico proprietario di una guesthouse a 20 km, che ci ha trovato una sistemazione di fortuna praticamente nel ripostiglio! I disguidi possono capire, ma ciò che è stato veramente pessimo è il menefreghismo della proprietaria, che oltrettutto per sua responsabilità, si è totalmente disinteressata del fatto che noi ci ritrovassimo appena atterrati in piena notte a non sapere dove dormire. Unica persona sgradevole trovata in dieci giorni in tutta l'Islanda. Da evitare assolutamente.

We arrived here unexpectedly at 8pm on 8th August, our last night, having spent two fantastic weeks driving round Iceland. Unbeknown to us, the accommodation we had pre-booked had gone out of business, which left us searching for a room. Although this hotel was full: Bryndis and her staff went out of their way to ring round and managed to find us a room at such a late hour. We will be forever grateful for the kindness and trouble they went to. I would certainly use this hotel if we ever revisit Iceland in the future. Thank you Bryndis and staff for such kindness.

arrived at our family room with multiple beds to find it hasn’t been cleaned in , I’d say by the deplorable smell for a week , the beds were not changed , garbage and food all over . went downstairs to the front desk and she can only put us in so joint room , which wasn’t a joint room it was a room side by side . i couldn’t have my kids sleep in another room by themselves in another country with the locks they had. they couldn’t do anything else for us , so we asked for a refund and she couldn’t give it to us bcs we booked through guest reservations , and couldn’t get our refund , long story there . we had to travel back to Reykjavik and spend more $ on a hotel and cab .

Looks like Icelandair uses this hotel as one of its flight cancellation hotels…it’s a VERY basic hotel with an amazing view if you face the ocean! Bed was comfortable enough, bathroom small and old but TV worked. There is no lift…lug that luggage up the stairs! There is a grocery store a few minutes by foot, free parking on street. It’s on a Main Street in Keflavik. Breakfast was basic but at least it was included.
