Located a very convenient 5 minutes courtesy shuttle ride from the new YIA airport but too far (1 hour on express train!) from Yogyakarta city. So a peaceful retreat for a quiet relaxing break or a simple overnight, preflight stopover. The hotel is still looking as brand new as it only opened one year ago! Public areas and facilities are all immaculate condition and clean. Smallish pool area on ground floor is obscured by the shadow of high rise tower so only gets the direct sunshine in the morning. There was no pool attendant on duty at the times of my visits, a bit worrisome as very young kids were left unsupervised and playing in the 1.7mtr deep pool - though it was evident to me that none of them could swim! Management please take note as this is an accident just waiting to happen...! Room was large, comfortably furnished with all the modern conveniences you could want or expect including an extensive 24-hours F&B room service menu. In-house laundry was very reasonably priced and efficiently quick. A pleasant outdoor terrace and indoors the rooftop bar/lounge with spacious seating and wrap around windows looking out at the countryside scenery. A live band was playing each evening at the time of my visit over the Xmas holiday period, but sadly there was never more than 3 or 4 other guests sat in there on any evening. Bar staff were friendly but quite limited in their ability to speak English, so if like I was, you're a Solo guest be prepared for a quiet evening!

A great luxury hotel to stay before or after a long flight. The breakfast gets better and better every time I stay. Rooms are new and pristine. Quick 5 minute or less ride to the yia airport.

Due to circumstances, I stayed near the airport for 3 days before heading to downtown Yogyakarta to wait for my family who had not yet arrived, and stayed one more day when I returned. I went to Bali. I chose it because the reviews were good..... 1. 10 minutes to the airport, free shuttle always available 2. Clean and quiet 3. Friendly staff 4. A place where you can go to downtown Yogyakarta in 40 minutes by train. 5. Always free pickup to the train station 6. Breakfast is also good. 7. There is also a convenience store and restaurant right next door. 8. There is a swimming pool, gym, and massage center on the rooftop. Thanks to you, I have another happy memory. This is a highly recommended hotel.

Affordable price and in front of YIA airport, suitable for long transit waiting for the plane

Hi Good day to Novotel Hotel staffs. I'm here writing a review of my good and pleasant stay under the name of Samsudin Bin Samat of room 8801 dated 1st Dec 2023. Before my stayed there I had called up said hotel and spoke to one of your staff named Ms Kindra and my queries was met up well with the help of said staff Ms Kindra. Upon my arrival in Novotel itself was welcomed with a helpful concierge/bellboy plum looking with all my luggages with his smiles. At the reception counter when doing my check into 2 rooms of 8801 & 8807 was assisted by one of the receptionist and to my surprise looking at her name tag named Kindra. She welcomed us too with smile and guided us through the process. At one point she even tap up for me into the elevator up in spite of her doing her work. Good location close to yia airport. I paid for a quick ride to the airport to make it easy. They were ready and waiting when I was ready to go at 5:30 am. Good experience!
