"The hotel is not far from Mashu JR Station. I called the hotel and a car was sent to pick me up soon. I had no problem communicating with the front desk in simple English. The room was Japanese tatami, the heating was turned on in advance, and the bathroom was very clean. The surprise was dinner, which was prepared in 20 minutes. Each family had a separate room in the restaurant on the first floor. The steak was grilled tender and juicy. I took a hot spring bath at night, which was very comfortable."
"Because sitting on the wet source number
Stay for one night at the standard tea

In fact, the whole standard tea also has 5 or 6 accommodations.
The hotel is1.5 kilometers away from the standard tea station.
At 6pm, there was no one over the platform.
It is unrealistic to drag the suitcase and walk the snow road for 1.5 kilometers.
And the station doesn't have a coin locker.
Fortunately, the enthusiastic locals helped to call the rental 800

Finally, the boss sent us to the station for free.
If I had a chance, I'd still choose this one."

"Jr Chuan Tang Hot Springs came out and went all the way to the hotel. Looking at the more years, the Showa style is full. The room does not have a separate toilet and needs to go to the public toilet, but there is no inconvenience and the public is very clean. In addition to indoor and outdoor soup for men and women, there is also a soup in the backyard where you can soak in the open air. If you have the courage, you must try it. Although men and women are separated, it is just a stone, and there is a big seam between the stones. Basically, streaking in the broad daylight. Very exciting, hahahaha. Then it is recommended to eat at the hotel, the surrounding is very desolate, there are no convenience stores."
"After checking out, we wanted to go to the bar just for a glass of water. A female staff member very rudely stopped us, saying that the bar was only for guests who had checked in and that we couldn't enter after checking out. I understand that this is the hotel's policy, and we got out immediately after being stopped. However, the attitude of this staff member was very unfriendly. As foreigners, we are not familiar with every rule in Japan, and her demeanor made us feel very uncomfortable. Moreover, her exact words were, “あなたはもうチェックアウトしてるでしょ、ここはチェックインしてるお客様しか使えない,” which implies that once I've checked out, I'm no longer a guest. She referred to me as あなた, and although my Japanese is not perfect, I am well aware that this term is considered quite impolite in Japanese."

MMart TpEverything was fair, except the staffs trying to change me onsen tax but it was not described in the room rate when i made booking.
Moreover, they try to overchange onsen tax of 3 preson/room (2 rooms = 6 person; and 2 nights) while I check in only 4 person.
I refuse to pay, so they prohibit me from using onsen. i know the law that tax has to be paid.
BUT IT HAS TO TELL CUSTOMERS TOTAL PRICE IN ADVANCE WHEN I MADE THE BOOKING.
Therefore, I rated service only 1 star !
GGuest UserMy 2-day stay at Kawayu Kanko hotel was very pleasant. While the rooms may look tired, they are spacious and functional (I could do my taiqi exercise in my room!). 3 things I like most about the stay: the staff I interacted with, the onsen and the dinner. Ms Yuka at the front desk spoke perfect English and she gave me the most useful ideas about where to eat and where to go. Thanks to her, I got to learn about the Teshikaga Eco-Passport and got to visit Lake Kussharo (Sunayu area), Lake Mashu and Mt Io by bus, all in one day. Her boss, Mr Nakajima was a very friendly gentleman. Language did not deter him as he patiently gave me a lesson (using his phone translator) about the geographics and the creation of the Kawayu Onsen area. Secondly, the onsen was great. The temperature was just right for me and the mineral refreshed my body instantly. I was told the hot spring water in the hotel came directly from a source that is only a few kilometers away. Lastly, the kaiseki dinner was great. The spread was generous. On a freezing winter day, the 2 personal hotpots greatly filled up and warmed my body. I will definitely return to the hotel.
AAnn888It’s a youth hostel very close to Jinbielan where you can watch the sunrise and the sea of clouds. It’s also great to watch the stars at night.
Staying in a girl's room for 4 people. During the stay, an old woman and a young girl were still chatting at 11 o'clock in the evening. They couldn't sleep at all. It was a bad experience for the first time.
