I highly recommend this hotel. Rooms are clean, beds are comfy. Hotel staff are friendly and welcoming. Food at the hotel restaurant was a treat to the palate. Would stay there again. It was close to public transportation, we did not need our vehicle to go to nearby attractions!

We selected this place because my daughter was attending the Chappel Roan concert and we wanted something within walking distance and while the price was not cheap, it was the most reasonable in the area. It did not start well as check-in as at 4 PM, but we wanted to get in sooner so she could change into her outfit. We drove in from the Chicago area and called around 2 PM saying we were ahead of schedule and asked if a room could be ready by 2:30 and the lady on the phone said yes. We then arrived and went to the counter and mentioned we were the ones that called and the man at the desk said, ‘nobody called’ and ‘are you sure you are at the right location?.’ I then started to doubt myself, but then remembered that the lady asked for our reservation number and confirmed it, and then he said it doesn’t matter, and we could still check-in. Check-in issues aside, once we got to the room, we loved it from as they renovated a 1930’s train building. The room was spacious and had very modern touches such as an upscale shower. There was a refrigerator in the room but not a microwave. Usually the hallways are an afterthought, but even those were really well done and had nice artwork as well. We did not get a chance to use it, but the fitness center looked above average from a regular hotel, and they did not have a pool. It should be noted that there is no self-parking, and it is valet only, but we did not mind as they came out with the car quickly when we needed it. They also had a restaurant for breakfast and the menu looked fine, but there was nobody there when we left at 10 AM on Sunday, so it was not a good sign considering the hotel was full. Overall, we loved the hotel itself and if we had to stay in downtown Kansas City again, we would stay here.

Hotel Indigo by IHG is a fantastic location for much of anything near downtown Kansas City. With the parking garage adjacent, the proximity to Power and Light district and the street car line, convenience abounds. Communication pre-visit was outstanding, check-in was professional, and the rooms were better than average. Other than the nice pink haired effeminate dude checking us in making us think twice, the experience was top-notch . The restaurant on the main floor street corner served a great breakfast!

This is the worst ever IHG property I have stayed at. The front desk staff is totally clueless. The will over charge you once you check out. Stay away at all costs! Not worth the hassle and stress.

The hotel itself was nice, but I will not be returning because my car windshield was vandalized overnight while the valet service had it. This was the only parking option available aside from unaffiliated lots nearby.
