Cascade Hotel, Kansas City, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

We wanted a nice place to land in the plaza while in town for an evening. The room was a bit small but it was clean, bed was comfortable and we were steps from the shopping at the plaza. This checked all the boxes for us. We’d stay here again.

The staff was just terrible and very judgmental because we weren’t “dressed appropriately”. We had a long day and a long car ride and were treated very poorly, I will be calling hotel management on Monday

Great property, great staff, excellent location Rooms are clean, well appointed and spacious. Excellent hotel room design. Front desk staff is exceptionally helpful and detailed. Lobby bar — a welcoming, well-attended space. Conference rooms are comfortable easily located and flexible, Hotel has walkable access to the entire Plaza retail and restaurant development. All around excellent property in a great location.

Beautiful hotel, poor checkout service The location, view, and modern design were excellent, and the front desk on my first night was very courteous. But at checkout, I was told I’d have to pay $30 for just a one-hour late checkout (11:00 AM to noon) and the staff insisted there was no flexibility. After decades of travel, I’ve never encountered such a rigid “nickel-and-dime” policy for something so small. It left a negative impression and overshadowed what could have been a great stay.

One Night Family Stay Great location next to many shops and restaurants, extremely clean and well maintained, Customer service was top notch, and the coffee shop in the lobby was delicious!
