Sun 'n Chill, Boutique Apartments & Beach Villa

We hebben 10 dagen gebruik gemaakt van de villa. Met privé zwembad en het strand voor de deur. De uitrusting is zeer compleet, echt aan alles is gedacht. Het geheel heeft een zeer luxe uitstraling, de keuken, de badkamer, de bedden in de slaapkamer. Alles is even geweldig. De omgeving is rustig, maar met een auto ben je snel bij voorzieningen zoals een restaurant of supermarkt. Wij haalden brood en bewaarden dat in de vriezer. Op die manier hoef je ‘s ochtends niet eerst naar de bakker. Toen wij er waren was het zwembad nog niet helemaal af, maar ook dat beloofd een pareltje te worden. Er werd regelmatig schoongemaakt( elke 2 dagen), schone handdoeken, fris beddengoed, en mocht er toch iets ontbreken: het wordt voor je geregeld. De eigenaren willen er zeker van zijn, dat er niets aan je wensen ontbreekt. Ik kan iedereen, die van een rustige ontspannen vakantie wil genieten, aanraden om een accommodatie bij Sun ‘n Chill te boeken.

We spent 10 days here in July 2022 with two children (8 and 9 years old) in Apartment One for 2+2 people. Three days before our arrival, I received a text message saying that the pool was unfortunately not available because it was still under construction. That was very suspicious, as the owner was clearly advertising the "lagoon" and the pool had been "under construction" for more than 10 months, as we later found out. First the positive: The apartment was well equipped: bedroom, living room with sofa bed, kitchen with all necessary utensils. Air conditioning was available. Room service came every 2 days and changed the towels. There is private beach access and free loungers there. Next door there is a super great pool (Scottish owners) that you can use by buying drinks. That was our salvation! Negative: The bathroom is in very bad condition, tiny, smells musty and it hasn't been cleaned for a very long time. The toilet is so low that it was too shallow even for our children. If someone is in the toilet, you can't open the bathroom door. The pool ("The Lagoon") was finished at some point, but the floor is so rough that our children had sore feet after one swim. The water is bathtub-warm (37 degrees) and not refreshing. There is also no shade, so the pool can only be used after 10 p.m. The owner (Yanis) was only friendly as long as he could present himself. Our complaints about the pools and the lack of shade were commented on with annoying messages via Signal. In the end, we agreed on a 15% discount after a long negotiation with his brother. After that, however, we continued to be annoyed via messenger and our request for another blanket was commented on with the comment that we were constantly dissatisfied. So special requests are clearly not welcome here. As a guest, you are supposed to just smile and "find everything great". Our conclusion: price and performance are simply not right here. The area is dull, the sea is shallow and dark and there is no comparison with the west side of the island. The nearest nice tavernas are 10 km away and Kavos is only for party tourists. I cannot recommend the Sun and Chill in terms of location and facilities.
