From the moment we arrived (midnight) we were warmly greeted at the road by Maria who welcomed us with open arms! Her husband Manos and son kostas also welcomed us warmly as well as some other holiday makers there who are regulars to pallatium apartments. We were immediately made to feel like family! We had the best holiday and we certainly did not want to leave. Maria, manos & kostas made sure our holiday was amazing! We were given lots of advice and information and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were clean and spacious. The pool & pool area was kept also to a high standard. We met so many people stying at pallatium who stay year after year, and we see why! We are already planning a return! Breakfast is available too which we had every day (except sunday as kostas has s day off) but the food was amazing every morning, kostas is a great cook! and served by Rea who was also very friendly and welcoming. Plenty of taverns shops and bars very close by (we ate in a different taverna every night (10 nts) and enjoyed every one! We had lots of laughs with everyone at pallatium and there wasn't a thing we didn't enjoy! We have spent ten nights here. It is a family run business with husband and wife and son team. From the first moment we got here it was welcoming. They go out of their way to help you. There are always sunbeds available, the resort is placed in a good location with local amenities available in all directions a short walk away. The rooms are basic but clean with housekeeping coming in every three days. You can of course empty your own bins before this. Maria and her son speak fluent English and there is a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast is served 9am to 12pm with snacks available throughout the day.

Spent 11 lovely nights at Pallatium. Greeted by Costa after our late arrival flight and shown to room. Nice 1 bed apartment with kitchenette, wet room and good sized balcony facing the amazing mount Ederi. Typical Greek self catering apartment, clean and well maintained. Pool isn't the biggest, but it never felt cramped, plenty of sunbeds and even a pool table to keep you entertained. We enjoyed the breakfast menu, especially the Cretan breakfasts and frappes, good value and generous portion sizes. We found the family easy going and friendly. Pallatium is a 5 minute walk from the sea front, a choice of beaches in either direction. The nearest taverna is also a 5 minute walk away with the main " ***** " approx 15 minute walk with some very good taverna's, a few bars and tourist shops. Bus stop is up on the main road 7-8 minutes walk away. We enjoyed our stay here , the only slight negative would be a bit more house keeping would be welcomed, however when mentioned that we hadn't had ours when we should Maria ensured this was rectified. Recommend Pallatium, would love to return.

Best service! And the Apartment is really beautiful near the beach and to Restaurants. The rooms are really clean and the reception was also really friendly.

What a fantastic experience at Pallatium Apartments. The owners and staff were so friendly and helpful, they couldn't do enough for us, making sure we were comfortable, giving us advice, bringing us fruit and shots while we played pool! We were allowed to keep a room for free as we had a late flight home. The hotel rooms and grounds were spotless. It is a small family-run hotel with a very peaceful, relaxing atmosphere around the hotel and pool, enough sunbeds and parasols, pretty grounds and a little area to enjoy the most delicious breakfasts. I was able to get gluten free sandwiches, too. They have a small lunch menu but don't do evening meals. However, there are plenty of great restaurants nearby, our favourite of which was 2 Friends. The room was lovely with comfortable beds and a safe. The location is quiet but close to the beach, shops and bars, and a little walk further takes you to a busier area with loads of shops and bars. Gouves is neither the prettiest or most buzzing town, and the beaches aren't the best of Crete, but it suited us to be able to walk everywhere easily and we hired a car to visit Chania, Heraklion and some lovely beaches. I completely recommend the Pallatium. I can't find anything negative to say. Maria and co do an amazing job here and made our holiday special.
