Absolutely Not a 5-Star Experience – Misleading, Poorly Managed, and Overpriced Our stay at Cora Hotel & Spa was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we’ve had, especially considering the price and how the hotel is advertised. Although it’s promoted as a 5-star, the service, facilities, and management fall far short. Below is a detailed review of the issues we faced: ____ Misleading “All-Inclusive” Experience - The hotel claims to offer an all-inclusive package, but the reality is very different: - We were charged €6 per bottle for sparkling water, spending nearly €200 during our stay, despite drinks being "included." - At the food truck, the only alcoholic beverage offered was local beer. No variety, no cocktails, no proper drink service. -At the main bar, the drink we were consuming ran out and we were told to pick something else. This is unacceptable for an all-inclusive stay. - The bar hours were false: Bar Rastonee was advertised as open daily but was closed on Monday. Bars that should have opened at 11:00 didn’t open until 14:00. - The reception bar, supposedly open until 00:30, stopped serving after midnight because the staff needed to "clean." ______ Hygiene and Room Cleanliness - Cleanliness was far below expectations: - Our room was not cleaned daily, which is unacceptable for a resort at any level — let alone one claiming five stars. - After raising concerns about hygiene, we received a threatening and accusatory email from the hotel, instead of understanding or accountability. -Housekeeping made loud noise in the hallways starting at 08:30 AM every morning, making it impossible to rest. - Towels in our room were ripped and stained, not what you expect in a supposedly luxury hotel. ___ Poor Beach Experience -The beach experience was another major disappointment: - The hotel beach is a 10-minute walk away, inconveniently located and poorly managed. - It was overcrowded with non-hotel guests, leaving us unable to find a sunbed or umbrella. - There are no toilet facilities at the beach, which raises serious hygiene concerns. It’s fair to assume people were using the sea as a toilet, which is completely unacceptable. The only part of our stay that lived up to expectations was the service at Delizia Restaurant. The staff there were professional, friendly, and attentive — a real highlight in an otherwise frustrating stay. Cora Hotel & Spa is not a 5-star hotel. The experience was filled with false advertising, lack of transparency, poor hygiene, and extra hidden costs. For the price we paid, we expected professional service and basic respect for guests — not deception and frustration. We left disappointed, overcharged, and honestly, feeling taken advantage of. We do not recommend this hotel and will definitely not return.

We stayed here recently and had a lovely break. However small things need to be addressed. Firstly the hotel itself is great, large comfortable rooms and spotless throughout. The pools are excellent. The staff are all very friendly and want to help as much as possible. The hotel is isolated and no bars, tavernas or shop are within easy reach. For that reason we upgraded to AI and it was worth it. Unfortunately there are inconsistencies in the standards which lets the hotel down. Housekeeping on some days was excellent, on others not. Some days only a fleeting visit, one day not touched and another day no bath towels just an additional 2 hand towels each!! The drinks were only replenished sporadically despite being an AI guest. The food was generally good, the Salads and desserts were very good. However all the hot dishes were in sauces, there was no grill station to get plain grilled meat to have with salad! The temperature of the food was inconsistent in both he main buffet and even when ordering on a lunch time, sometimes hot,, other times not. It was often difficult to catch a waiter to order a drink in the buffet, some could take orders, others not but they all had the same uniform on!! The food in the Italian Restaurant was very good but the service slow. Unfortunately they had only 1 dessert available, as my wife does not like coffee so could not have the Tiramisu, the team advised there was no alternatives. I very nearly went to the buffet restaurant directly below to get her some ice cream! The restaurant by the infinity pool opened during the time we were there, despite being listed on the AI I was advised this was not available on a lunchtime as part of the AI deal! The roof bar was very relaxing and the bartender made excellent cocktails. During our stay we had several power cuts. On the last night there was emergency power only. No AC or not enough power for my CPAP machine. This was not the hotel's fault, however there was no communication with the guests about this A simple letter under the door would have gone a long way. If these simple areas are improved it would have been an excellent stay.

Fabulous! Clean! Modern! 5* service! Friendly staff! And Stylish! I look for cleanliness and attentive and friendly staff during my stay and this hotel has it all! The only thing i would recommend for improvements are food hygiene, I’ve seen on few occasions that there are hair or bugs on the food. All staff on duty around the food bar should handle food with gloves for hygiene purposes. And perhaps source some more beach/pool towels. The towels are very limited and never ready for the morning.. Long journey from the airport but location has breath taking views! Brilliant facilities! Food options could explore more on traditional Greek style.

- Being able to swim directly from our room into the pool was amazing. We must have been in the pool at least 15-20 times a day, from 7am to 1am :)) - The housekeeping staff did a fantastic job and promptly provided towels and other essentials. - The breakfast variety and quality were excellent. - The air conditioning worked perfectly; even though it was unbearably hot, we barely felt cold in the room. :) - Our Guest Relations Manager, Alexandra, was very helpful and quickly resolved all our questions and reservation requests. She deserves a special thank you for that. :)

It is a lovely resort and it is clean which is important. Lots of pools to choose from and then the beach is also nice. The breakfast is nice and the Italian and Greek restaurants have quality food. It was a lovely break and it was peaceful although there were lots of people. Very well run and organised. If I went to that area again I would stay here again. Only thing is if you are older getting down to the beach is a bit difficult, lots of steps even if you use the elevator.

I stayed 10 nights at the Cora Hotel in July 2025. From the minute I entered the hotel to the day I left, the service from the staff was truly amazing. It can be a bit daunting travelling as a solo female but the staff here made me feel comfortable and welcome at all times. I want to give a special mention to the female staff who worked in the Eartha Restaurant / Philos pool bar, as they were caring and attentive and always gave me a warm & enthusiastic smile every time I encountered them. These people were: Anna, Daniela, Valia, Dimitra, Alexandra, Gianna, Kiviaki, Sofia and Myrte. Thank you very much ladies for being so warm and friendly 🥰.

We stayed in the hotel for 8 days. We carry really wonderful impressions. Start from the reception, the wonderful Aleksandra, who is the manager of the hotel. Deluxe room with sea view, spacious, clean, comfortable. Enchanting view both during the day and at night around the hotel. DJ during the day at the pools, really soothing and relaxing. Breakfast monotonous, they could change that a bit. Going down to the beach is functional, entering the sea is a bit problematic at the beginning, but afterwards very nice and pleasant. All in all, we are looking forward to the new meeting.

A beautiful resort with friendly staff. The hotel is calm and has a wonderful view. A few steps across the bridge and you are on the beach. Bring bathing shoes. The hotel is just under an hour from the airport. We prebooked a taxi at Booking. +Lovely rooms, some with shared or private pools +Nice and generous breakfast +Three restaurants +Easy access to Afytos by taxi -No mini-market meaning every drink and snack or ice-cream will be expensive -our Air Condition didn’t work properly -we did not use the spa credit since you had to add quite a lot for a treatment. So, feedback to the hotel: Open a small market for soft drinks, snacks, water and ice-cream. Also, arrange a shuttle bus (no extra charge) once or twice in the evening (I would expect this from a five star hotel). Taxi is easy to get but each trip to and back from Afytos will cost around 14 €. It’s not far away but we don’t recommend walking or biking.
