Our experience in Dar Azawad was aboslutely horrible. We were a group of 7 people. We specifically booked this hotel for our Taragalte festival experience. The official check-in time was at 2pm. We were only allowed to the (available!) rooms at 4 and 5pm. Some people had to be put together to change and shower. The staff was unprofessional and unwilling to find solutions and even answer our questions. We were sometimes received at the front desk with complete apathy, as if talking to bricks. The keys to the rooms were not provided and we had to ask for them twice. Breakfast was below any standard. Pancakes were finished at 8 while the kitchen closes at 10. Mise en place of the breakfast table we had to ask 3 times was only done for 3 people. Messy and unorganized breakfast. Swimming pool: old and dirty sunbeds from which there are only a few available. We had to book our group a day at the swimming pool in another hotel. Way overpriced for the services. I believe at least one star should be withdraws from this place. We felt horribly received and are never ever coming back here.

Wir kamen im Sandsturm (ca 80 km/h) an. Guter Empfang. - Das Zimmer war relativ klein. Aber soweit sauber. Die Dusche hatte kein Warmwasser. Der Sandsturm drang durch alle Ritzen, es war fast überall Sand. - Abendessen und Frühstück ordentlich, nichts größer zu berichten. Nicht gefallen: Den Pool konnte man nicht benutzen, weil der Sand alles trübte. Evtl. wäre eine Abdeckung besser gewesen. Harte Betten.

La décoration des chambres et du salon est encore très belle et fait illusion (pour combien de temps encore ? Car attention, changement de propriétaire!!! Et nous avons été piégés par des avis anciens très favorables). On dirait que le domaine est à l’abandon. Tous les sièges de terrasse ou du restaurant, fauteuils, lits de piscine sont cassés, rouillés ou crasseux…. les coussins de protection, qui pourraient aider, sont aussi très sales. L’équipement des chambres est minimaliste (flacon savon vide, boîte mouchoirs vide, papier toilette insuffisant, …) et mal entretenu (climatisation tombée en panne en pleine nuit et cela en plein mois d’août, c’est un supplice!!!). Les boissons qui devraient être fraîches (vin blanc ou rosé, par exemple, ne sont pas au frigo), pas d’eau gazeuse, etc. L’accueil est dans l’ensemble très peu chaleureux. Bref, à ce prix là, ce n’est même pas un souci de mauvais rapport qualité-prix, mais c’est purement du vol !!!
