Ocean Paradise Resort & Spa

This could be a phenomenon resort were it not for the front desk team, and when you look you see the problem is caused by their manager Mr Ajit. He never takes responsibility yet alone accountability, he blames processes rather than fixing them and doesn’t have a customer service bone in his body. The leadership would do well to either retrain the man or get rid of him. By contrast the F&B team are super amazing, led by Scot his team do him a great credit, they are constantly smiling, engaging and deliver an amazing customer experience all day every day. They totally made our holiday a brilliant experience … well done you guys.

Excellent accommodation and very friendly staff. I managed to cut my leg on a trip, nurse was brilliant and dressed it checked me afterwards daily. We were all exclusive and found it a very relaxing stay after a week on safari the previous week. My friend had limited mobility but was a golf cart to take us down to pool & lunch/evening restaurants. Breakfast restaurant was amazing, recommend freshly squeezed sugar cane ginger & lime. Staff couldn't do enough for you and remembered our names & room number. Did find vegetarian options some evenings was lacking but didn't spoil our experience. Amazing little market for souvenirs on beach. Accommodation was stunning. Be aware though lots of steps . Recommend trips to Stone Town, Prison Island and Safari Blue. Wish we could have stayed longer

We had a wonderfully relaxing stay here after an exhilarating safari in Kenya and were brilliantly looked after by the manager Scott Anderson and all the staff who were so friendly and helpful. The rooms were spotless, cleaned daily and at night the rooms were dressed beautifully and also functionally to keep out mosquitos.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel after a week on safari. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We had a gorgeous view where I could watch the sun rise from our balcony. There are plenty of sun beds for everyone (and nobody reserves a sun bed, so you can get a bed at any time of the day). We went all inclusive and enjoyed the different cocktails each day. We loved the swim up bar. The food is fantastic. Everything you can wish for at the buffet breakfast, with freshly cooked omelettes, freshly squeezed orange juices / smoothies etc. The lunch is a BBQ buffet on the beach with something for everyone. Every evening there is a themed evening with a great choice of buffet food and entertainment. We booked the restaurant on the beach for our last night (you pay extra but literally £20 for lobster and you sit right on the beach overlooking the moon on the ocean). It was very romantic and the staff were so attentive. We swam in the sea in the day and it was warm and clean. We didn't get pestered by any locals, but then we didn't walk on the beach at low tide (if you do that I think you'd need beach shoes for the sea urchins). Every singe member of staff was brilliant - so friendly, helpful and attentive. A special mention to Scott the manager who wanted to ensure we had the best time and always had time for a chat and to offer great advice when booking trips etc (he recommended Cape Town Fish Market for the most fabulous sunset). We also booked a snorkelling trip and our guide recommended we left early to avoid the crowds (we left the hotel at 6.30am and we were lucky enough to swim with wild dolphins, with only a few other boats around us). Would 100% recommend this hotel for a relaxing beach break. We had such a fantastic stay here and would go back in a heartbeat. Thanks to all of the staff for making our trip so perfect.

I don't have enough words to say how amazing this place is, but I can not recommend it highly enough. Paradise by name, paradise by nature. I've never been in a warm sea before! Amazing food, amazing staff, amazing location - it looks incredible in photos but even better in person. If you can go - go! You won't regret it.
