⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Unforgettable Stay at Isla Bonita Zanzibar Beach Resort 🌴 I had one of the best stays ever at Isla Bonita Zanzibar in the peaceful village of Matemwe on Zanzibar’s northeastern coast. The beachfront location offers stunning white sand and crystal-clear water – absolute paradise (). From day one, I felt right at home thanks to the kindness and professionalism of General Manager Mostafa, who was always smiling and available for anything. Chef Henrik and Ayoub from the kitchen were simply outstanding! Their food was fresh, flavorful, and innovative. Each meal felt like a special event tailored just for us. Housekeeping by Aisha and Khuzeima was exceptional — surprised us every day with towel art and fresh flowers in our room. It felt like staying in a dream, not just a hotel. At the restaurant, Eliza stood out by serving with warmth and joy. Her energy made every meal a pleasure. True heartfelt service from start to finish. If you’re seeking peace, great food, and genuine hospitality, Isla Bonita is your place. I’m deeply grateful for every moment spent there, and I’ll definitely return soon! ❤️

Fantastic stay with excellent staff. The hotel offers an amazing view and ample privacy on the beach. The manager, Moustafa, is very friendly and helpful. He has extensive experience managing 5-star hotels in Dubai and Egypt. He is very kind; he took me along to Stone Town when he was shopping and helped me get all the spices I needed. The food was excellent, especially the coconut curry pasta. I licked my plate when nobody was watching. The breakfast is good too. The room is clear with a good AC, and there weren't any bugs. The view of the ocean was excellent, and I spent some time with the villagers. I was so happy that I did not bother taking any excursions. I felt very safe there, and the locals are friendly. When the water recedes, you can see all the sea animals, and I plan on going back in a year or so. I can't say anything bad; maybe there was a power outage for an hour, but that's something to do with the island's infrastructure.

We had the worst experience in this Hotel. On February 5th 2025 at 3am we woke up in the middle of the night with the door of our hotel room open. Someone broke into our rooms at around 2:30am that night according to security camera footage, and stole our phones and our money while we were sleeping. Two rooms situated at the floor level got robbed that night, ours and our friends' room right next to us, the thief stole 4 phones, and around 200 dollars of cash. Which made it a total of about 5000 dollars of stolen goods. The hotel was supposed to have 3 guards that night, during the robbery, all 3 of them were sleeping. When we woke up that night, and found out that we got robbed during our sleep, we immediately notified the hotel staff who were all sleeping during that time as well. They managed the situation very poorly, it took them an entire half an hour to call the police, all they did was, retrieve the footage of security cameras and didn't even apologize to us for what happened to us in their hotel! The police took about 3 hours to get to the hotel, saying that they didn't have means of transportation, so the hotel sent someone to get them from the police station. The next day we asked to change rooms, since the locks of our doors were broken, and we couldn't sleep in those same rooms we had an intruder in the the night before, all that the hotel manager said to us was that they didn't have any rooms available, although they most certainly did, we could see the empty rooms! can you imagine the carelessness! They brought someone to supposedly fix the doors, but it was just a masquerade, since they didn't fix anything, the doors could still not lock. When we told them about it, they didn't care. So we had to spend another night in those same rooms terrified! We barely got any sleep! It was indeed the worst experience someone could have in a supposedly secure hotel! and what made it worse is how this situation was handled and the hotel's staff disregard for our state and what we've been through! I highly don't recommend it!

Beautiful and quiet place. The staff was very personal and friendly, and they all made us feel welcome. Highly recommended!

Total Gem!! I loved every minute of my stay at Isla Bonita. The staff, the location, everything! If you are looking for a little bit of paradise this is the place. This morning I left my room and walked into the ocean and it felt like heaven! Mustafa and Ahmed are fabulous hosts, they really care about their guests. I've moved on into Stone Town, it's loud, smelly and so busy - I'm already wishing I was back at Isla Bonita and it's only been a few hours! If you are looking for a tropical escape with good food and relaxation - look no further!!
